Do you remember the let-it-ride World Series bettor who won $14 million? Well, the anonymous gambler is planning on putting at least $10 million on the Eagles to beat the Patriots in Super Bowl 52, according to RJ Bell. It would be the biggest sports bet in Las Vegas history.

I’m betting on America.
Patriots +6
I don’t understand, but that’s okay.
Tom Brady will win this one.
..........I think there should be a limit on bets of say 100,000 or even less. A ten million dollar bet provides waaayyyy to much incentive for players, or coaches or third parties to do “something”, or attempt to do “something” that would throw the game.
WE know this has happened already on many levels of sport including professional, college and high school.
Did y’all see what we did to the Vikings last week ?
expect the same next week
The game of football at this level is won by one thing and one thing only defense
Die NFL, die.
I will put $10 on the underdog again. The Patriots have a bad record of covering the point spread. They win but they don’t cover.
Control of the line of scrimmage, and the Eagles will win that on both sides of the ball, IMO.
So if he bets 10 million and the iggles win he gets back 28 million winning 18 million plus his 10 million bet?
I'm an L.A. Ram devotee since 64, Well Done, sir . . . Eagles are going to crush the Pats.
WATCH
Just like your rams were going to crush the Patriots back in 01? Howd that work out for you?
Last time a pud QB beat a hall of famer in the Super Bowl, it was Jeff Hostetler (Giants) beating Jim Kelly (Bills); but that shouldn’t count, since Kelly lost all 4 of his Super Bowls no matter who he was playing (I know, it’s unfair to say it that way; tough).
In short, being the NFL and especially the Super Bowl, is a QB game, I just don’t see Nick Foles getting it done vs Brady. Gotta admire what Foles has done since they patched him in, though. I would not bet the Pats minus points. If I were betting, I’d swallow the chalk and go moneyline on Pats.
Could change the odds....
He could buy the Eagles for that.
I have no opinion about the current ownership. In fact, I suppose I couldn't care less
.....here’s a scenario.........Las Vegas Casino, party # 1, the day before the game doesn’t like the lay of the land and get’s nervous about having to pay party # 2 ten million bucks.
Casino, utilizing mob contacts, grabs son or daughter or wife of quarterback and advises the quarterback through mob intermediairies that “you better throw a lot of interceptions!”
Fans, general public, coaches, team mates...........get the shaft!
I don’t what the max should be but ten million on a LEGAL bet is ridiculous.
Strawman bet by the NFL.
Maybe you will care.
Super Bowl? What is that?
