They are not driverless. That is a marketing lie. The manufacturer tells you that there must be a licensed driver in the driver’s seat who must be ready to take over at any time. That is not driverless.
There is no way to stop this stupidity. They are not going to listen to us. The manufacturers are going to woo the politicians who see in it another way to control the public and to gather data that they can use to tax the hell out of the public.

If the driver has to be sufficiently attentive to take over EFFECTIVELY at any time, he might as well have his hands on the wheel and his foot on a pedal and be driving. To heck with the robot.
