If you had a choice of Baltimore or Haiti....that would be fairly hard choice to pick from the two.
I will say this...there are protected compounds with five-star hotels in Haiti. You fly in....the bus carries you by armed guard to the hotel, and you can do well for an entire week. Beyond that...you’d have to be crazy to spend more than two hours on the ground there.
Haiti isn’t a shithole because of its Geography, it’s a shithole because of their long history of leadership being evil and crooked.

OMG! This is like the UN Blue Helmet during the Gulf War. Staging propaganda. The irony is, in order for him to get to that resort, he likely had to travel through the country that would more accurately depict the majority of Haiti. He knows better than what he is reporting. This is the height of Fake news.
These reporters will go to New Orleans during a Hurricane and look for bodies to floating in flood waters to show how bad the situation is. But they’ll step over bodies and build hollywood sets to portray a 3rd world nation as a paradise.
Sure, it’s beautiful near the resort, but take a look at the photos of the border between DR and Haiti....DR is green and Haiti is brown and barren. That’s because it has been stripped for firewood because its government has stolen the money (billions of dollars in US and European aid) and leaves no other way for people to get fuel and doesn’t provide an environment where businesses want to set up and employ people so they can buy better fuel.
And of course, the big reason for Haiti’s devastating mudslides is ... deforestation. Something the enviro-wacko crowd seems to conveniently ignore.

I'll bet O'Brien spent more than that per night for his suite at that luxury resort.

He should venture out at night w/out bodyguards and arrive to the airport late at night and take a taxi to his hotel. He might have a different opinion.
