MOCKSVILLE, N.C. -- A tractor-trailer load of spaghetti sauce is what caused a partial shutdown of I-40 in Davie County early Sunday morning.
Highway Patrol says the accident only involved the tractor-trailer. It happened near Exit 174, Farmington Road, just after 3 a.m.
Sgt. P.M. Dixson says the driver ran off the road and flipped the trailer, spilling Ragu spaghetti sauce everywhere. Troopers believe alcohol played a factor.

Hey, You pasta you exit!
Well...there’s tartness in the tomato base.
This works for me, real simple: fry some onion & garlic, add one pkg hot Italian sausage, one can diced tomato (lg), one can tomato paste, some red wine, & dash of sugar.
Bellissimo!
Basil, oregano, and a few bay leaves and voila!
With fresh basil, like Mom used to grow in the kitchen window.
Now...instead of over pasta, which I loved, over squash noodles from a spiralizer. About one fourth the calories.
Heck, it really doesn’t cost a lot of money to eat well.
Happy motoring and back to the freeway which is already in progress.
Vodka sauce?
