In an era during which rules seem meant to be broken and more and more people are calling for gender equality it should surprise no one that the fashion world is the head cheerleader for change. Case in point: the Fall 2018 Menswear designers presenting a variety of skirts on their runways.
A wrap skirt paired with a matching jacket showed up at the Astrid Andersen show in London, as well as a flasher worthy trench dress at Alex Mullins and a a flirty full skirt bounced along at Bobby Abley.

I would wear my kilts to the office, but my company doesn’t recognize them as “ethnic” clothing like they do some other garments. Beside’s that, there are the “macho” types that would give me a hard time about it. It takes bigger balls to wear one than it takes to ridicule someone for it. Some American men are such wussies.

Are Skirts the Next Mens Fashion Trend? No, but kilts are becoming more popular all the time. They're even available in "tactical."

The question should be...
Are skirts a fashion trend for women? All I see anymore is women wearing crap.

I have now seen two men dressed in skirts and carrying man-purses. Both siting’s were in Walmarts. What struck me in both cases was how spectacularly ugly these men were, regardless of how well they were groomed. Both were obese. Both had what I charitably will call unattractive legs.

Men better reject this idea. If his skirt would fly up some hate filled gall would say he was flashing them and disrespecting them.
Look out men. No skirts without a chastity belt.

Donald Where’s Your Trousers
Let the wind blow high
Let the wind blow low
Through the streets
In my kilt, I’ll go
All the lassies say hello
Donald, where’s your troosers
A lassie took me to a ball
And it was slippery in the hall
And I was feared that I would fall
For I had nae on my troosers

The Utilikilt was a trend in the Pacific Northwest back in the aughts, but I think it's since faded away... which is too bad. I like them on the right guy (meaning a guy without a gut).

I have a couple Utilikilts as well as my family tartan, a black watch, and the MacLaren tartan I earned the right to wear when I completed the BSA’s Woodbadge advanced leadership course many moons ago. Kilts, in any flavor, are a helluva lot more comfortable than trousers.

I already wear a skirt every morning -- for about 10 minutes, standing at the sink shaving and getting ready.
DISCLAIMER: That is NOT me. I'm older than that.
