If you’ve been to some of these Third World countries, esp. today, you’ll know that he was exactly correct.
Most of Africa has some form of terrorism or factional/tribal/religious conflicts and genocide, or Marxist dictatorships.
Many Middle Eastern/So. Asian countries are death-holes of ISIS, inter-Islamic factional fighting, anti-Semitism and anti-Christianity, and tribal/factional genocide.
Latin America is only a little more stable but there are still a number of key countries under Marxist control. Venezuela was once the jewel of So. America. Today it is the toilet. Same for much of Brazil after two communist presidencies. Central America is a drug-cesspool and Marxist breeding/training ground. Mexico is Mexico - name it, it has it.

One thing Pres. Trump may have gotten wrong in his comments was about needing more people from Norway. They aren’t coming here but it things get worse in Sweden, we’d better learn how to say “Bjorn” and “Helga”.
