Johnny Manziel breaks silence with NSFW pic, Browns trolling

His former team is a laughingstock — to its own fans’ admission — and he now can see the route to another team.

It was a good weekend for Johnny Manziel.

On Sunday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced they had begun negotiations with the NFL flameout, which included the Canadian Football League squad making him an offer.

Manziel has not commented directly on negotiations, but he did have some words for the 0-16 Browns. Manziel got in a dig at his former employers early Sunday morning, a day after Cleveland fans mock-celebrated the Imperfect Season with a parade.

“0-16szn,” Manziel first wrote, then deleted, as a caption on Instagram, attached to a picture of his money-rubbing gesture.

A fan asked if he would still be in the NFL if he hadn’t wound up with Cleveland.

White trash is white trash.

Who knows if he cleaned up his act.

I wouldn’t want him.

I hope the young man can straighten out his morals and abuse problems. However, this social media crap showing him still obsessing about the team where he showed up as a draft player with an attitude and a sick bunch of behavior shows he is still not on any road to recovery.

If there are sports futures on him for sale in Vegas, I would hold back my investment, IMHO.

"I'm baaaaack..."

In Manziel's defense, I'd be getting wasted all the time too if I was drafted by the Cleveland Browns...Didn't he QB the last game they actually won?

Safe to say that Manziel would have screwed up no matter which NFL team he had landed with.

Best penalty I ever saw in the NFL was when a Bengals linebacker had just sacked Manziel and did that stupid money sign over him. Fifteen yards for taunting and worth every inch.

“Safe to say that Manziel would have screwed up no matter which NFL team he had landed with.”

I agree. He should have stayed in school till he graduated. He was woefully immature for his age & the Browns should never have drafted him.

Manzeil is responsible for his behavior.

The Browns are responsible for making a terrible decision—one of many these last 2 decades or so.

Loser Manziel, who was as exposed as nowhere near being NFL talent, is the last person who should comment.

I’m with you.

The Browns didn’t do Manziel any favors by drafting him into the most dysfunctional organization in all of pro sports.

I would venture to guess he's still immature for his age, so staying in school probably wouldn't have mattered.

Manziel believed his own press clippings. That's his problem. And I suspect his tenure with the CFL isn't going to be that long.

Since I believe in redemption I will root for him to succeed.

If he doesn’t, he doesn’t. Not everyone gifted with natural ability succeeds.

If he does succeed it will be fun to watch :)

It’s not that I’m asking for Manziel to become a choir-boy, but at least, could he be more like Kenny Stabler, who could tie one on with the best of them, but still be as professional as he had to be when it was time to be.

Perhaps the Browns can correct their mistakes by drafting Baker Mayfield...
