US-based company Ocean Infinity dispatched a search vessel this past week to look in the southern Indian Ocean for debris from the plane.
"The basis of the offer from Ocean Infinity is based on 'no cure, no fee,'" Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said on Saturday, meaning payment will be made only if the company finds the wreckage.
"That means they are willing to search the area of 25,000 square kilometres pointed out by the expert group near the Australian waters. I don't want to give too much hope ... to the [next of kin]," he added. Ocean Infinity said in a statement the search vessel Seabed Constructor, which left the South African port of Durban on Tuesday, was taking advantage of favourable weather to move towards "the vicinity of the possible search zone".
Search conditions are best during the current southern hemisphere summer before the colder months bring storm-force winds and mountainous seas.

"I can understand how Malaysians are incredibly driven by finding the wreckage," said Joyce. "I have, to be quite frank, some concerns as to whether it will be found."

If they find it, how much will they be paid?
Perhaps they’ll discover the black hole that CNN’s Don Lemon opined it disappeared into.

Nah, ran into meteor showers caused by global warming. There was one CNN anchor who was trying to link warming to an increase in meteor activity, which shows the level of intelligence of news people.
I think someone knows what happened.
The remnants (any that floated) are probably in Antarctica.

Its not in the ocean!
If it were, most of the upholstery would have shown up by now. That is what has happened with every airliner that has ditched in the ocean in the past.

Is this the one where Gen McInerny said it landed in Pakistan. If so, I remember him being quite confident about it.

Yep. But some debris apparently traced to the plane
has been found on some beach in Africa or Madagascar
a year or so ago. That plane was flown into the Indian Ocean.
Most likely it's Muslims again.
The General is now missing!
Thanks BenLurkin. Best way to not find it is to look nowhere near where it went down. Wild goose chase ping.
I do not understand this, since it is claimed some pieces of debris have been positively identified as having come from MH370. That sounds like wreckage has been found, so why are they not paying based on that?
I think they want to find the last resting place of the passengers and crew.
