Which one?
(I’m East Coast and love the ocean.)

Gonna sell my Jeep and my dirt bike and my tractor and buy a Cadillac with a Manual Transmission, preferably a Station Wagon.
I’m past due on my mid-life crisis, now that I’m feeling my age and I have so many fewer friends, I figure it is time.

To not make resolutions/promises I ain’t likely to keep anyway. Old age makes one a bit smarter in a few things - all that experience piles up and says - “No you won’t”.....

I plan to get a bike lift soon.
My knees can’t take the concrete for too long.

Half of the electrics are out.
I guess something in the harness has come apart.

That sounds about right. I HATE electrical issues! You have to track ‘em down.

It’s rare for me to write a check these days, of course, but I still have to check myself to not start out the year with a “19”.

Resolving not to make any resolutions you won’t keep kind of puts you in a bind, doesn’t it?

I want to be the all-being master of time, space and dimension. Then, I want to go to Europe.

Resolving not to make any resolutions you wont keep kind of puts you in a bind, doesnt it?I suppose it does, but that bind is less restrictive than all the promises/oaths/vows of New years' past.....

I hear ya. Resolutions that work are likely those we make when we are ready for them, rather than at an arbitrary date. And changes might most often come about when we try things out as an experiment, rather than as a conclusive commitment.
To: 9YearLurker
To me, resolutions are just another way to prove how badly we need Christ - we seem to be incapable of keeping basic promises/intentions when they conflict with our fleshly weaknesses.

I just listened to a sermon on how bad we are at keeping our promises to ourselves, when it is God’s promises that are kept.
