Rose Marie, the wisecracking Sally Rogers of The Dick Van Dyke Show and a show business lifer who began as a bobbed-hair child star in vaudeville and worked for nearly a century in theater, radio, TV and movies, died Thursday.

She was 94.

Marie had been resting in bed at her Los Angeles-area home when a caretaker found she had stopped breathing, said family spokesman Harlan Boll.

Is Buddy Hackett still alive too?

I though she was in her 60’s when the show was on TV.

Nor did I.

As my dad would say,"that's a UBI".

Useless bit of information. :-)

I was surprised by that too but it’s a typo in Google. Marinaro’s mother was named Rose Marie Errico - not Rose Marie Mazzetta. The Rose Marie who just died (Mazzetta) was married to trumpeter Bobby Guy from 1946 until his death in 1964.[9] The couple had one daughter, Georgiana.[2] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_Marie

Now they’re all gone from one of my favorite films, International House (1933). Baby Rose Marie was the replacement act for singer Ruth Etting.

She was a great comedienne and entertainer. I remember her fondly from Dick Van Dyke, Hollywood Squares, and Doris Day.

What fond memories of a simpler and more wholesome time.

If she was even HALF as quick witted as her scripts made her appear (and I think she was far more), then she was a superb intelligence. The entire crew of the show made it the classic that we remember it to be. From short Buddy to tall bald Mel and Sally’s able assists, those 6 years & 157 episodes are good watching even today.

R.I.P. Rose Marie. Of the on-air regular cast, it looks like on Dick Van Dyke, Jerry Matthews (TV son) and Carl Reiner (Alan Brady) still remain with us.

Andy Kaufman sang it best on Letterman:

La da da da da, da da da da da da
Oh Rose, my Rose Marie
Oh Rose Marie, I love you
I´m always dreaming of you…

Just saw her playing a Nanny on a one off episode of My Three Sons last week. I told my Wife she was still alive. Weird timing. RIP
