A snow leopard cub born at the Bronx Zoo has made its public debut in October. The young female was born this summer to mother, K2, and father, Naltar, who was sired by Leo in 2013.

New York's Bronx Zoo has revealed a selection of its cutest new arrivals in 2017.

Ranging from a rare gelada, the only one bred in a US zoo, to an incredibly rare bison from the Yellowstone National Park bloodline, the zoo's conservation programme has welcomed dozens of new visitors.

There are some critters that convince me that God is not only ingenious, but has a sort of surreptitious sense of humor; Penguins are one :-)

With love.

Er, has anyone seen the snow? Penguins await the big freeze as they enjoy a waddle on the grass

I’ll bet the mother was mowing without steel toe boots. Never pull the mower back toward you on a hill.

Mairdie, did you ever watch the “March of the Penguins”? It was a wonderful movie. Love your posts and beautiful pictures. Thanks.

I don’t know what Santa put in your stocking, but it probably should have been a gift certificate for therapy.

If you want, you can join my therapy group, People Who Are Afraid Of String.

It’ll tie up your Wednesday nights, though.

I’m trying to remember but it’s not ringing a bell. When I read an animal movie description, I’m always looking to make sure the animals are still alive at the end. If they were at the end of that movie, then probably. If not, then probably not.

Infinite pleasure at sharing them with you. I feel like we’re all crowding into a room together and pressing our noses to the glass, looking over at each other and giggling our hearts out.
