An Arizona Republican is calling on special counsel Robert Mueller to recuse himself from the investigation into possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia in an op-ed published Wednesday.
Writing in USA Today, Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) said Mueller's investigation has gone "far beyond the scope of his original charge."
"Unfortunately, taxpayer resources are being used to scrutinize anyone and anything that fits into a preconceived notion that Russia colluded with the Trump campaign to 'fix the election,' " Biggs said.
"Mueller has demonstrated he is incapable of leading a focused, unbiased review of his initial assignment," he added. "His witch hunt must end."

Mueller has actually even been granted a “conflict of interest waiver” to investigate Trump, which is considered outrageous for a supposed ‘independent’ special counsel.

Justice Department won’t disclose details on Mueller ethics waiver
First, Russia “meddling” in our elections has been way overblown. Basically they have a few bloggers and post a handful of social media content in which .00001% of the population reads and virtually zero have their minds changed. It was promoted as Russia actually changing votes in voting machines, not a few blog posts.
The media is upset because they want to be the sole outlet for biased fake news to influence the vote.
Second, Mueller really should be investigating the Obama administration and their abuse of power - FBI, IRS etc as this is where the crimes occured.
Mueller is partnering with everyone he can, who likewise wants to take down the President.
NEW YORK NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who is assisting special counsel Robert Muellers investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, boasted of his successful resistance to the Trump administration in a Tuesday Medium post.
Schneiderman, who could play an essential role in the disposition of Muellers investigation, has effectively branded as a public anti-Trump litigator during the presidents first year, in keeping with the history of hostility between the two men.
Muellers office retained Schneidermans assistance in August in a bid to establish greater leverage against the president and his loyalists.
“Rosenstein could call for a review...”
He’s part of the cabal, so that’s not going to happen.
Trump needs people in the top positions at the DOJ who work for HIM, not for the DC network, or for themselves. Sessions might be loyal, but he’s had to recuse himself, so he is a liability now. Replace him. Replace Rosenstein. Replace everyone else down the line who would be a stumbling block. THEN they can call for a review and actually end the farce.
The opening of the KGB archives and the release of the VENONA intercepts (decoded Soviet KGB and GRU traffic) proved that in the 1950’s Senator Joseph McCarthy was absolutely right about the extensive Soviet penetration of the U.S. government in all the most sensitive sections and its danger to America. According to the KGB archives, the NKVD had 221 agents in the Roosevelt administration in April 1941 and the Soviet military GRU probably had a like number. He was proved right that the Communist Party, U.S.A., was an arm of the Soviet intelligence apparatus and the Soviet Union considered the U.S. as their “main enemy”.
His liberal critics in academe and the mainstream media, who denied there was Communist subversion and made excuses for it, were proved absolutely wrong! This should have discredited the liberal ideology and those who mouthed it. Because the left had no answer or effective reply to the challenge McCarthy posed, they engaged in personal destruction — they smeared and demonized McCarthy because he was truth.

Interesting the prototypical “witch hunt” actually was based on truth.
Trump is smarter to let Mulehead swing away. The investigation has already gotten two unrelated charges and has run out of steam. Political error to end it. Let it die of natural causes.
The whole thing is a sham. Someone needs to go to jail for sedition.
It's not going to. You must be listening to Q and those on Twitter who are telling you to put your sweet little head on the pillow and not worry, night night.
Yer’ right. Trump fires him then the leftrards go ape shiite and say “see? he had something to do with Russia!”.
WOW, and here I thought it was legal to get a loan from any bank for any development project. Now if it was a gift (=bribe) that would be different. But a loan has to be paid back with interest.
