Three years ago I heard Chris Rea's "Driving Home for Christmas" for the first time - though it is not a new song - and it may be my current favorite. It is just a nice little ditty done well.

I’m torn. When you think of Christmas. You have to think of what they have done to Christmas. And the songs that show just exactly home much Christmas has been mangled are “Stanta Baby” Ertha Kit style and of course Christmas Elvis doing “Blue Christmas”. Its especially vile when its a Vegas fat Christmas Elvis.

of course Christmas Elvis doing “Blue Christmas”. Its especially vile when its a Vegas fat Christmas Elvis. Elvis' "Blue Christmas" is my second favorite Christmas song after "Please Come Home for Christmas" by the Eagles.
I guess I'm the devil. Now I'm sad.

I can say with certainty the one I DESPISE is “Santa Baby.”
I hate it even more than “Grandma Got Run Over.”
I know we should not hate at Christmastime but you have to admit those 2 songs are the exception.
As for favorite I still love Mannheim Steamroller’s “Deck the Halls” from their first Christmas Album.
And, even though they are a bunch of deviants, Penantonix’ “Mary did you know” is probably my #2.
