My cell phone is my handiest tool. I use it for many tasks, above and beyond mere phone calls.
I dont have a PC, so my phone serves as a browser, spreadsheet, calendar, address book, etc. I use it for maps/GPS. I monitor my husbands CPAP, usage, as well as my own. I use it in place of credit cards and loyalty cards at the cash register. Its my camera and photo album. It stores and plays my music collection. Its my night light. I use it to control the smart devices in my home, such as lighting, security cameras, multi-cooker, etc. I have apps to help manage our health related issues, which are many. It helps me identify medications, manage many appointments with various doctors, keep track of our vital signs, etc. Theres very little I cant do on my cell phone. I should get a shirt that says Theres an app for that. Im looking for an app that will wash the dishes.
Sounds like it is just a more useful tool for you.
Using it a lot and being glued to it are different. The bottom line is that when you are not doing those useful things you listed are you using it to see how popular you are or what someone is saying about XYZ every OTHER minute?
I assume not.
It is just too small for me to do most of those things.
It is astounding that humans managed to populate the planet with 5 billion people prior to their invention.
You must have good eyes. I use my iPad for everything at home, phone for on the go mostly.
