Sounds like it is just a more useful tool for you.
Using it a lot and being glued to it are different. The bottom line is that when you are not doing those useful things you listed are you using it to see how popular you are or what someone is saying about XYZ every OTHER minute?
I assume not.
It is just too small for me to do most of those things.
I was checking Facebook every day, to see if anyone in my family, or a handful of friends had anything interesting, entertaining or newsworthy to say. A couple times a week Id post something. It was a good way to share pictures and videos.
Then on November 9, I posted that it was my 10th anniversary of being lung cancer free. I was slammed with so many responses, I couldnt keep up. When it got to 99 messages, the counter stopped. It still says I have 99 messages, though Im convinced its much higher. I havent opened Facebook since about an hour after I posted that.
I dont understand why anyone would want to be popular on social media. The response I got from that one post destroyed Facebook for me. Id like to see the latest family photos, but not bad enough to wade through all the other stuff.
