Gene Simmons is being sued by a woman who says the Kiss bassist groped her and made unwanted, unwarranted sexual advances during an interview she conducted last month, according to legal documents obtained by TheWrap.
The radio and television broadcaster (identified as Jane Doe) is suing for sexual battery, gender violence, battery and assault.

If it was during a radio show, there probably is already a public record.
Settling could mean the accused is guilt or it could mean the accuser is a goldbricking liar. But the fact is, settling not prove the guilt of the accused nor the lies of the accuser.
Another thing that would favor the truth of her allegations - if Simmons committed a crime against this woman (battery for instance) then she should seek criminal prosecution. If she is telling the truth, she probably has evidence of probable cause.
Good for him. Glad to see my gaydar failed on that one.
Don’t ask me. I’m not his mother.
Look at all the insults you and others are throwing at her. Why should she reveal her identity? As for why we’re “just hearing about it now” 6 weeks isn’t a long time, she filed a suit and the Wrap found it.
“Gender violence”? That’s a new one. Sounds like an offense where the perp attacks someone because of their gender. Are we carving out a new identity group crime to attract votes? What’s wrong with a simple battery?
Haha. I was trying to work that term into an awesome post. Well done.
Taped interview, edited before use to make sure the subject looks good. Settling means the accused is guilty.
But look how horny he is... four horns!
Gene Simmons
Is Richard Simmons next?
Co-inky-dink? I think not.
You still didn't answer my question as to why, if she was so horrified at his behavior, she didn't get up, end the interview, and walk out of the restaurant?
If he actually did this, the better way to show that it's unacceptable is to file criminal charges. Sexual battery is a serious felony offense. If it means that much to her, if she's not out to just make a quick buck .. or lots of them, why isn't she filing criminal charges?
But look how horny he is... four horns! Oh wait, 6 horns- there are two on his arms as well as the 4 on his shoulders. She’s going to say he’s horny all over!
Hilarious!
And I'm sure that they still have the original tape/digital audio from the complete interview hanging around somewhere. If there's evidence, it will show up in discovery.
Really?! So you never lectured your kids for being rude? Out here in reality freedom of speech includes consequences, like being lectured for being a victim blaming POS.
Why should she risk her job because Gene is a asshole?
Maybe, maybe not. Hopefully it’s been saved, but folks in the business of dealing with rock stars and other folks who have these behaviors know keeping the original is a dangerous game. The last thing a radio station needs is to develop a reputation of having evidence available.
Settling is not legal proof of guilt.
In this case, if she’s not lying, why not bring probable cause evidence for criminal prosecution?
Did she smack him and leave the room or sit there for more? Why not raise hell on the spot in front of other employees so as to insure a witness?
You just hit the nail on the head.
Rock stars in general, have a certain reputation.
Gene Simmons unabashedly waves that reputation around like a 10 foot banner.
ANY woman expecting a "civil" interview is an idiot.
If she goes to an interview without AT LEAST ONE trusted male accompaniment, she's beyond stupid.
If you're going to be stupid enough to KNOWINGLY go into harms way, then you should have the brains to take protection with.
If you KNOWINGLY go into harms way WITHOUT precautions, don't come crying to me (or a jury) when harm has its way.
Also for demanding, in the same sentence no less, to "have that pulled."
Disgusting!
