Yes - the original is also cleaner and more dynamic. (That varies a little with the release.) The better the playback equipment, the more this is evident. That (Mountain version) on clean vinyl sounds pretty darn good...

Not taking anything away from the original (I remember it well, actually).

This just sounds fatter and nastier, and stands on its own, IMHO.

Nice to see modern bands paying some homage to the old heads.
