The election is being held to replace Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), who resigned on December 8, 2017, after acknowledging that he had discussed possible surrogacy arrangements with female staffers.[2

Now here is my take. The Democrat machine has decided who runs in that category.
On our side the machine is working as well and I see it as working for Bob Stump.
I think he is probably a good fairly conservative Republican. Good vote getter. Good looking. Money. Buddies in Business. Cultured (heads up the Symphony -- something I like). That is why I don't want him -- plus the fact that the sleazy article he wrote after Trumps nomination is now behind a pay wall. He looks about as attractive a conservative as Jeff Flake did before he was elected.
Hickman is a damn good guy. He wants to stay local.
So for right now, I am going with the Trump guy who endorsed Trump first in the state legislature -- Phil Lovas.
Applaud me or talk me out of it.
This darn primary is now 12 weeks out. Time to take sides and see who fades (or Flakes).
I have already gotten three different pollster calls — dang a lot of fishing going on.
Steve Montenegro!!! 110%!
Referencing your post from a few days back.
Well dang. I only moved here 5 years ago and I don’t know him. Tell me all you can.
I don’t see what Franks did wrong.

Catch up.
He’s resigned. Even moved it up to be effective last week.
His wife is in the hospital.
He stepped on it with crazy talk in the workplace. He’s gone.
Special Election already set.
What’s the R-D breakdown? How much did Trump win by?
I still don’t know what he did wrong. he and his wife were looking for a surrogate. He asked a couple of female staffers if they’d be the surrogate. He offered $5 million.
It’s not as if he offered the $5 million to have sex with him. It’s not as if he retaliated against them when they refused. It doesn’t sound to me like he did anything wrong.
What, you can’t ask a lady to carry your baby anymore?!
How glum was that local community Republican Club meeting you had the night after Frank’s bailed?
Who were they talking about.
I dress real nice but I don’t know if I have enough money to vote for Bob Stump — what do you think?
Oh !
Oh !
I know the answer to that one Mr Barker !
Well here is the list. You asked to be kept posted.
Place your bets fellow casino goers.
The Freedom Caucus has held this seat and I bet Ryan knows who he wants. Let's not screw this up by letting Karl Rove pick our guy or gal.
Lovas over Angry.
Sounds best. ;-)
Can we newbies keep this district out of the swamp?
Keep in mind we have some voices for Steve Montenegro, he has real experience at the State level. I am just unfamiliar due to ignorance of being relatively new to Arizona (moved here five years ago but was damn busy for the first three years).
I am in TX, but have and will continue to work (calls/donations, etc) to get Trump agenda supporting conservatives elected.
Thanks for posting and doing this work. This is what it takes....making folks aware, keeping us up to date, vetting, etc.
