Lincoln County, WV - A relatively small county in our region is using a new approach to handle drug overdoses. Some are considering it controversial, but county officials stand behind giving out free NARCAN kits for the public.
Lincoln County Day Report Officer, J.L. Frye said Wednesday, "You cannot rehabilitate someone who is dead."
The Lincoln County Health Department made the announcement via Facebook post, Tuesday that they won a grant- $20,000 worth of NARCAN will be given to those who want it. Those who do want a kit will need to attend a required training course to receive one.

Don't stop there, discontinue the manufacture of all opioids. And get rid of insulin and chemo treatments. Diabetics and cancer patients are a huge financial drain.

Who is paying for those “free” kits? If it is willing donors, fine. If it is public funds, NO WAY!
Big difference. Drug use/abuse is by CHOICE. It is a BEHAVIOR. Diabetes and cancer are ILLNESSES.
If diabetes is not at lease partially a behvior issue then why do all diabetics have to control their diets?

Cause and effect. The diabetic's diet (behavior) does not cause the disease, but may be necessary to survive it. The drug abuser's "disease" is caused by the drugs; taking drugs is a behavior.
Poor diet, stress, lack of physical activity contributes to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, clogged arteries and who knows what else.
