“Is it 42%, or 42% greater than average people? 42% is really high. Like no instinct for self - preservation high.”

Did you know that 47.3289% of all statistics are made up?

“That which must be PROVED, cannot be used as proof. “

If you see, feel, and fully perceive something, over and over, you touch it and the physical body responds to your stimulus, is it not real.

Atoms, molecules and quarks exist, yet you personally do not perceive them.

This is how Jesus knew the thoughts and past memories of life experiences of everyone around Him. Haven’t you ever wondered, or do you just stop at superstition and not seek scientific understanding. The world is not flat!

You’re attributing statements to me that I did not make. I merely pointed out an instance wherein the US government did dehumanize black people, that being the so-called 3/5 Compromise. The colonial era origin of the institution of slavery as practiced in the US was never in question, not by me at least.

Jesus gave knowledge to His disciples and then asked them not to share it with others. Don’t you ever wonder what it was and why He asked them not to share it?

“Sounds like Science Fiction.”

So did the concept of a round earth to the early Christians.

Most Christians call Jesus their Saviour (which He is mine too) and treat Him like a lifeguard who can pluck them out when they are drowning.

Which would you sooner have, a lifeguard that waits until you are drowning to rescue you, or a lifeguard that teaches you how to swim?

Jesus was a rabbi, a teacher who said “The things that I do and even more you too shall do....”

I’m not a flat-earther. “Experience” is substandard. First, God’s Word...then experience. Every cult and demonic religion offers experience and hidden knowledge. The Father lays it all out in Scripture. From that foundation I find your lingo to be in the realm of soothsaying and divining. Sorry, but you have no honest support for that stuff. Troubled and weak-willed people will provide you with endless clientele, as you claim to SEE what’s really ailing them. That is one of the least magical, yet enduring, facts of life in a fallen world, people flock to false teachers.

you just dislike the implications.

You are attributing implications which were never there. Convenient if you wish to denigrate the United States or fan the flames of racial victim-hood.

You shall know a tree by the fruits they bear.

The Pharisees said these same things to Jesus...

I ask no one to believe me as I would not believe my own words were they not based upon first hand experience and then scientific understanding to ground it in reality.

What happened, happened. You seem to feel a need to sugarcoat the political machinations of northern interests, whereas I merely see them for what they are. Southern slaveholders argued for slaves to be counted one by one, in their entirety, for purposes of apportionment. Northern interests didn’t want them counted for even 3/5 of a human being, that was a compromise hence the name. It did dehumanize black people in the literal sense no matter how much you dislike that notion. It was the slaveholders who argued for their full humanity, history shows this no matter how dissonant that may sound to ears all too accustomed to hearing north good south bad. You want to get into motive rather than end result? Well, neither one of them were concerned about anything but political power. Facts are facts, and they’re difficult things.

So did the concept of a round earth to the early Christians.

Actually, the very earliest science, going back to Pythagoras in the 6th century BC, postulated that the earth was round. This belief was solidified by the time of Socrates.

So the early Christians were aware that the earth was round.

The myth of the Church teaching the earth was flat was created out of whole cloth in the 19th century, apparently to instill as "fact" in the minds of the ignorant an ancient conflict between religion and science.

This myth has infected history books to this day.

Per Wiki:

The flat Earth model is an archaic conception of Earth’s shape as a plane or disk. Many ancient cultures subscribed to a flat Earth cosmography, including Greece until the classical period, the Bronze Age and Iron Age civilizations of the Near East until the Hellenistic period, India until the Gupta period (early centuries AD), and China until the 17th century. That paradigm was also typically held in the aboriginal cultures of the Americas, and the notion of a flat Earth domed by the firmament in the shape of an inverted bowl was common in pre-scientific societies.[1]

The idea of a spherical Earth appeared in Greek philosophy with Pythagoras (6th century BC), although most pre-Socratics (6th – 5th century BC) retained the flat Earth model. Aristotle provided evidence for the spherical shape of the Earth on empirical grounds by around 330 BC. Knowledge of the spherical Earth gradually began to spread beyond the Hellenistic world from then on.[2][3][4][5]

In the modern era, pseudoscientific[6] flat Earth theories have been espoused by modern flat Earth societies and, increasingly, by unaffiliated individuals using social media.[7][8]

The idea that “the slaveholders who argued for their full humanity” is laughable. The slaveholders knew that the numerical advantage 100% counting would give them was insurmountable.

The choices facing the Northern states were thus:

1.) Give in to the abolitionists = No United States

2.) Give in to the slaveholders = No United States

3.) Allow slavery but clip the wings of the slaveholders = United States.

They chose #3 with the details to be worked out later (in 74 years).

It is childish to attribute to that compromise a denigration of blacks. The operative word is SLAVE. Race never entered into the equation. Free blacks counted as a whole persons.

There you go with motive and sugar coating rather than facing up to the end result. There would have been no United States as we know it without that compromise, but it was an ugly one that did dehumanize black people, at the behest of northern interests. This is beyond dispute, try as you might.

Actually Job, the oldest book in the Bible acknowledges that the Earth is a sphere suspended on nothing. Any Jew or Christian that studies Scripture knows the earth is round from the time Scripture was recorded

The United States government never justified slavery.
