The first that comes to mind for me: "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial". Sappy and overly sentimental.
(And while I'm at it, "Titanic")
First you tell the truth then you back off of it.
The truth is that Hollywood is scare $hitless of the monster they helped create.
They are deathly afraid to offend anyone but White Heterosexual Males.
They have the ability to make movies like Blazing Saddles but they afraid to make a movie that might offend a protected minority.
Only people like Spike Lee are permitted to make an offensive movie, Too bad Spike is only interested in making drek.
I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school
He was terrible in that film
I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part
He's way better than Ben Affleck
And all I can think of is your smile....and that s____t movie, too
Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you
Lord Of The Rings all of them. As I saw someone post somewhere a bunch of straight guys spend 9 hours walking and fighting over a piece of jewelry.

Titanic
Forrest Gump
Oh I know. Tried but couldn’t get through either.
Titanic too! Do NOT get. I was kind of like, “Die already.”
That movie has been on my bucket list.
If only. It would have been a much better picture.
He came to conquer Arabia to give it to the Arabs
That didnt work out so well did it.
I never got “Field of Dreams”. And “Pulp Fiction” was crap.
Oh, George, not the livestock.
Polar Express,Frozen,Hocus Pocus,I could go on.
And his "funny" movies, except for MEN IN TIGHTS, are fantastic!
I used to go down to Hinesville (Ft. Stewart), and just north of the base was the tank firing range. Go by when one fires, it feels like you got punched in the chest.
I was disappointed that the film was not about the Battle of Dunkirk in 1658, but a later event. The 1658 battle would make a great setting for a dramatic screenplay.
All of the Tim Burton crap too.
Me too.
One of the worst parts was how the two idiot fighter jocks end up piloting the B-25s in the Tokyo raid. It amazes me how Hollywood seems to think if you can fly a Cessna then you can command a B-52. The main characters were crap and the actors that portrayed them were even worse.
It's actually sort of about Arthur Godfrey, so if anyone is looking for an analogy of a "modern" person, perhaps it's Rush L.!
Granted the plot as a whole was implausible.
But the visuals were fantastic. And it is the only space movie to actually put on film crashes in space with no sounds of breaking glass or taring metal. Actual silence as a space station is shredded.
It was far more realistic than pretty much any other space movie in that respect.
