Behold the irony of snow-related ironies: Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey opted to close on Saturday and cancelled its planned attempt at a world record snowball fight.
The reason?
Snow, of course.
The Central Jersey amusement park had assured everyone earlier in the morning that the "massive family friendly snowball fight" would go on as scheduled despite the season's first snowstorm, which was expected to bring as much as six inches of snow in parts of the Garden State on Saturday. (The Philadelphia area is still set for 2-4 inches.)

Al Gore is deeply saddened.

Oh come one=- I’m sure there are enough snowflakes in the state to have the fight-
oops- read it wrong- said there was going to be ‘too much’ snow- hmmm- too many snowflakes- snowball fight canceled-
"....hmmmm"
Another artical for global warming lol’s. Another version of what I call Gorony (Al’s own brand of irony). Throw a science convention to discuss shrinking ice mass in the Arctic and get shiplocked on a glacier.
Two inches is too much for them? I remember when our kids used to out into six inches or a foot of new snow, build snow castles, and invite all their cousins over for a fight.
Meanwhile, the kids and the dogs made paths everywhere.
Forecast for Northern NJ is 1-3 inches
Usually get more because inland is colder away from ocean
and higher elevations
Often will be rain or sleet in South, snow where we are....
What a bunch of snowflakes!
"It's not nice to fool Mother Nature"
Where is we are?
NJ?? Seriously? I would expect Six Flags Over Georgia...but New Jersey?? So...they’re just not used to snow on the roads, right??
hazardous roads in Jackson NJ area?
Wonderful shot, doogle.
