Somehow, my monitor has never had an issue.

But if you want to go backwards to Windows 10, I am certain that can be accommodated. IMHO this is a lot more painful than resetting monitor prefs.

Terrible! You have to set your ultra wide monitor back up again? That must take like 4 whole seconds or so.

We use iPads as time clocks and to track fuel usage on our company gas pumps. Every damn time an update comes along they go offline. Tried everything in the book to stop it but to no avail. Bout ready to dump them!

Apple never "forces" an OS update. Are you running as an Administrator? You have to accept it and install it.

Simple solution is that before you accept the OS System Update and install it, find the Apple plist for your monitors in your System Library and copy it, noting where it is located in your System Library. After updating, put it back. Problem solved.
