Clinton Should Run for Cotton’s Senate Seat [Chelsea]
politico.com ^ | 12/3/17 | BILL SCHER

That leaves us with one Clinton: Chelsea.

She has the Clinton name but little of the Clinton baggage. She wouldn’t hurt for name recognition or campaign cash. She’s vice chair of the controversy magnet known as the Clinton Foundation, but emails released during the presidential campaign by WikiLeaks and the State Department show Chelsea getting caught doing good, seeking to root out corruption by foundation officials and warning of problems with Haiti earthquake relief.

She is an Arkansas native, even though she hasn’t lived there since she was 12. Sure, she lives in Manhattan now and lacks a Southern accent. But her mom bought her first house in New York two months before she launched her Senate bid, proving ZIP code ain’t nothing but a number. Carpetbagger charges are inevitable. But in the end, what matters is your knowledge and respect of the state and its voters. Chelsea shows no hint of cultural condescension toward her birthplace. For example, as an NBC reporter, she spotlighted efforts to preserve the folk music traditions of the city of Mountain View in the Ozarks.

Interesting thought that one of them always running makes them untouchable and unindictable. Hadn’t looked at them like that before.

No Baggage.... How about her wedding being paid for from her Tax Exempt Non-Profit.

Audit the Clinton Foundation and she is toast.

Arkansas will never elect another Democrat of today’s type in statewide office with the sorts of Dems we have now

She got past all the sulfurous bubbling cauldrons, monsters, concertina wire and piranha teeth? Wow, hadn’t thought how big an accomplishment that really was!

I’ve heard there’s a lot of resentment in Arkansas, that the Clintons abandoned the state. They rarely visited when Bill was president, and abandoned their home state for New York City after their White House years.

The Clintons have rarely visited even after their White House years.
No way Chelsea would be welcomed back with open arms.

Pryor got beat by nearly 18 points in a nearly 20 percent black population state by Tom Cotton who is a stellar senator in my opinion

Chelsea Clinton is no Mark Pryor

She has the Clinton name but little of the Clinton baggage.

Crap. She has ALL the Clinton baggage with the added feature of being a carpetbagger besides.

They are grooming her to run.
She was giving speeches here in Iowa during the 2016 election cycle.
The rot of the Clinton’s needs to stop. We don’t need another sleezy Clinton to be on the public dole.

“They rarely visited when Bill was president, and abandoned their home state for New York City after their White House years.”

As I recall they have not owned a house in the state since 1983. Their real estate investments have been made outside Arkansas.

The children of Southern Democrat office holders have not done well in the contemporary South. Look at Sam Nunn’s daughter and Jimmy Carter’s grandson.

Chelsea’s mom got 34% of the vote in a state where she was First Lady for 14 years. Chelsea wouldn’t stand a chance. Anyway, I think the Clintons will still make Nita Lowey an offer she can’t refuse and she’ll retire, paving the way for Congresswoman Chelsea.

Come on. It even isn't April Fool's day. This must be the biggest joke post ever. Hillary lost in AR 61% to 34%. So Chelsea will win because she doesn't have the Clinton baggage? LOL. Chelsea is on the board of the Clinton Foundation.

Maybe she should run as Chelsea Hubble.

The resemblance is strong, but to be honest, I really wouldn't want as a legislator, a wooden, empty-brained dummy that can only say what people tell it to say.

Given the choice, I would vote for Howdy Doody every single time, no question.

"...Well, she did emerge from Hillary's birth canal unscathed..."

Well, except for the DNA of course, but how could she help that, after all.

I mean, when you have parents like Web Hubbel and Hillary Clinton, you get the DNA you get...
