Ran some old out-of-atmosphere ballistic tables.
2800 miles up and 630 miles downrange would create a range of 8525 miles, +/- 8% when fired for slant range, not altitude.

Too many years we were pansies.. it will take a hit for them to get the message.
When Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, it took 2 atomic bombs before they surrendered. After we hit Hiroshima, they were still not going to sign. then we hit Nagasaki and they surrendered. Millions were killed.. it took it to end Japan’s aggression.

A tungsten rod is a good way to take out a reactor without much fuss.
The rod would be dropped from the air and plummet to the reactor housing where it would punch a small hole in the containment, letting out a little puff of radioactivity before crashing through the reactor pile and embedding itself in the ground below the reaction chamber. The chamber would melt down over the rod, obliterating its presence and rendering the reactor unusable.
