A month After Going Missing, Squishy the Cat Is Found 80 Miles Away in SF

The Lathrop, Calif. owner of a cat named Squishy is overjoyed after she got word that her pet was alive and well — despite being found miles and miles away on the streets of San Francisco.

Squishy was reunited with his owner last week because of the efforts of a feral volunteer for the San Francisco SPCA. As the shelter tells SFGATE, volunteers regularly bring in feral cats to be spayed or neutered before being returned to their outdoor neighborhood.

This feral cat, however, was "very friendly," as SF SPCA spokesperson Krista Maloney tells SFGATE. When he was scanned for a microchip — something else the shelter staffers check for — they found he had gone missing a month ago from his home in Lathrop, nearly 80 miles away.

I know a little bit of her history, and you are right. Except for a few scars on her face, I don’t think she was ever abused.

I have had her for a year and she’s a treasure.

She’s 7 and a half, so I think we will have a good long time together.

It’s nice to see she has all of her tail. Another indication of a Pit having been abused is a docked tail. Cutting off the ears and tail makes it easier for the dog to be used for fighting because there’s less for other dogs to grab on to. May you both have a long and happy life together. Now I’ve got to get dressed and perpetrate and ACT OF DOG ABUSE by ousting my AST cross from what used to be my bed and putting him outside to do his business.

Probably not. The big fires were north of SF up by Santa Rosa, Lathrop is due east of SF.

Well you missed it when it was still part of America, before the no borders/mass immigration uniparty worked their magic.

If someone would actually deport the huge number of illegals who have overwhelmed California it might appeal to Americans once again. Won’t happen though. The political class doesn’t have to live with what their policies have done to the rest of us.
