I was visiting Seattle that day, and had gone up to the observation tower with my oldest son and his girlfriend.
I mentioned to him that the first “Flying Saucer “ sightings were over Mt Rainer. Coincidence, I think not.

One pilot, United Flight 612, is asked by air traffic if he sees the mystery aircraft at his 3 oclock position and quickly pipes up, Yeah we got him, hes about four miles away. It is apparent from the tone of his voice he had been watching the object, which he later describes as a white speck about four or five thousand feet above us, for some time.

Closer to home, who built that advanced, very high speed shuttle train system under the continental United States?

When flying cross-country in my F-15E, sometimes I’d climb to 50,000 feet. Well above “normal” airline traffic of around 30-35K.
I was on UHF while airliners use VHF, and I’d hear ATC reply to airliners asking about this odd thing flying miles above them. Sometimes, based on ATCs reply, we were identified and reported as a UFO sighting.

May have been a Russian ‘open skies’ flight.
May have been a commercial, corporate, or military flight with a bad transponder.
