Dozens of teachers have quit their jobs in Pennsylvania's capital city amid a wave of violence from students as early as the first grade, it has emerged.

The Harrisburg Education Association (HEA) said that at least 45 teachers resigned between July and October, and more have followed since. Those who remain are now demanding more help from administrators.

'I have been kicked, punched, hit, scratched. I've had a student physically restraining me in front of my other students,' first-grade teacher Amanda Shaeffer told board members, according to Penn Live.

A friend of mine has a sociopathic child who just turned 5 y.o. and has been expelled from every pre-school / daycare in the area.

His violence is relentless and he smiles while doing it. I have watched him mercilessly kick unsuspecting neighborhood dogs.
He is genetically-programmed to be a criminal. He is literally doomed.

I can only imagine if a teacher had to subdue 2-3 violent kids like him while simultaneously trying to maintain an educational environment for the other sane kids. This child seriously needs handcuffs or a straitjacket. His mother is covered in bruises and scratches from the young boy pitching fits.

As per the 2010 census the demographic makeup of Harrisburg was 30.7% white, 52.4% black and 18% Hispanic, with others making up the rest. I suspect that the black and Hispanic percentages are greater in 2017.

The ivy-league university mother wanted a child and her biological clock was ticking loudly.
She met a stunningly-attractive guy who spent half of his life committing crime and the other half in jail. He could be a runway model.

I'm a substitute teacher. I've been in pre-school classes with very violent kids. A friend who taught full time in another district recently quit her job after 16 years. She had a violent child last year and got no support from the district. I subbed for her last year. The kid walked up to me, kicked me in the shin and called me a b**ch.

This year, she had a kid that was hurting her and other kids. He would literally attack her and other kids in the classroom. She had bruises all over her and again go not support.

You may laugh but I have seen some very violent 4 and 5 year olds. They can do a LOT of damage. It can be very scary.

I would be surprised if even 10% of the public school children in Harrisburg were White. Most Whites in such areas send their children to private schools, and non-Whites disproportionately make up the public school population (and as a result, tend to be low-achieving and violent, with no personal accountability, either on behalf of the teachers or students).

This woman’s parents are about my age.
They call their own grandson “Chucky” just like the horror movie and are completely afraid of him.
They have plenty to fear. This kid clobbered a neighbor’s puppy with a plastic toy push lawnmower giggling the whole time.
