I don't think I ever heard that he did anything especially egregious, my sympathy to his family and I hope they don't keep him in medical limbo for too long.
I had no idea he was 67.
I suppose these people stopped aging in my head.

I am going to send my kids on a scavenger hunt or someplace remote they would not normally see
Like I want my ashes scattered on the Swiss Alps- and here’s the money to do it
In light of recent revelations it is easy to wonder if he had been victimized as a child performer.
Sorry, I jumped the gun there LOL! I agree 100%
“I want to bleed everyone dry”.
You and millions of illegals ,obscenely overweight smokers, druggies etc etc .... ? /sarc
alcoholism does cause a form of dementia. had a neighbor with it. she had a seizure one night, her ct scans showed some brain issues. doctors kept asking me if she drank a lot. Not that i know of. she was pretty effective at covering it up.
......”I dont buy the dementia excuse, I think the guy is a massive alcoholic and thats probably what is going on here”.....
Both parents suffered with dementia so it’s likely it is as he says regardless if he drinks or not. Currently my family member shows serious signs of dementia, undergoing testing etc. ruling out ‘other’ possibilities has been exhausting for all with no concrete decision to date. But the signs are certainly apparent.
I say this because it’s a difficult diagnosis for the patient to contend with....without an alcohol problem...let alone having one to begin with.
I have instructed my wife to haul me out my out in the woods on the front loader and give one in the brain pan. She says my yellow lab is going too. She thinks of everything.

It shouldn’t be that way.
I absolutely loved my fifties-——most of my generation did. Family raised, time for travel and fun.

Soon people will start talking about a curse.
But the curse is time and luck and aging.
Certainly a possibility.
