Lil Peep, the New York rapper who mixed guitar-driven emo and rap production on mixtapes that gained millions of plays on SoundCloud, died Wednesday night at age 21.

On the positive side of this death announcement, he was a "rising" rapper, not just an "aspiring" one.

Since he's apparently white, look for the jealous backlash from the fans of deceased black wannabe rappers that weren't accorded the same deference, regardless of the metrics on the number of "plays".
