LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Three UCLA basketball players accused of shoplifting in China apologized Wednesday before coach Steve Alford announced they were being suspended indefinitely.
LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley were described as "good young men" by Alford at a campus news conference.
The coach said the trio wouldn't be allowed to suit up, practice or travel with the team while the university continues to sort out the circumstances of last week's incident in Hangzhou, China.
Ball, Hill and Riley took turns acknowledging their actions and apologizing while also thanking President Donald Trump for intervening on their behalf with his Chinese counterpart. Athletic director Dan Guerrero also spoke, but no one took questions from a throng of media.

Exactly. And notice that it was only Trumps tweet that made them thank him and the US government, whatever that is. Actually, they thanked the government first and then added Trump.
They would have had fun with 10 years in a Chinese jail if only Trump, who is respected by the Chinese, hadnt interrupted!

Our Good Young Men are free, and now Americans can take their yellow ribbons off their oak trees, and have a Thanksgiving Holiday without worrying about the fate of the young men from UCLA.

All three of them thanked Trump - given how many liberals would not have done so, I credit them for that act of simple decency and gratitude.

described as "good young men"...
Even though they're not. See how that works?

Trump should tweet: You’re welcome. Glad you’re back in the U.S. Now don’t steal anything, ever again.

Too bad they didn’t get the SOP response in China.
Maybe that would give them a level of appreciation for America?

The coach said the trio wouldn't be allowed to suit up, practice or travel with the team while the university continues to sort out the circumstances of last week's incident in Hangzhou, China. So they are still on the team. They will be back playing before conference play starts. If Alford had any guts he'd take away their scholarships. I thought he did as he is a Bobby Knight disciple.
