Could Jimbo Fisher be heading to the SEC?
Texas A&M is getting ready to ask about the Florida State coach's interest in leading the Aggies, USA Today reported.
Texas A&M would make the move after it informs current coach Kevin Sumlin that he won't be returning, according to the report.
Fisher already has a long and solid relationship with Texas A&M athletics director Scott Woodward, both of whom were at LSU in the early 2000s. Along with the fact that the Seminoles are only 3-6 this season, USA Today sources indicate it might not be that hard to persuade Fisher to coach at A&M.

TAMU has a lot of wealthy alumni and they're itching to buy an SEC championship.
Isn’t he on the hot seat at FSU?
Chip Kelly going to Florida.
Why would they want him??? Fla st ain’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard.
Is that real or wishful thinking?
It’ll never work out there for Jimbo.
Not enough criminals on the team........................
Really? Source?
Sounds like a lateral move at best. Not a good move for Fisher tho I think a good coach could make A&M a power.
“Could Jimbo Fisher be heading to the SEC?”
I’m hearing from multiple sources, they’ve agreed to a deal, saying he could be introduced as soon as Thursday.
LOL....that’s a good one....those tea sippers from Austin don’t rank ‘up there’ with anyone.
Meyer is leaving Ohio St. Greg Schiano to TN and Larry Johnson retiring.
That will drive Saban nuts. He hates modern college offenses.
The two years with Johnny Football were mediocre? Don’t think so. The Cotton Bowl in 2012 and Chick-fil-A in 2013.They did struggle in the Big 12 though for years.
And give up the cushy desk job? ;)
Do you have a link for any of those sources? TIA.

They lost their starting QB the first game of the year against Alabama. Freshman had to step in.
Tough start for both Alabama and FSU. Alabama lost two starting LBs for the year to start their season. Alabama is now without 4 of their top 5 LBs.
A lot of a good football season is injury luck. Over the years, Fisher has proven himself to be a good coach.
Being a Troy alumnus, I hope everyone ignores him but Neal Brown should be on everyone’s A list.
It’s all about the recruiting.
If you get the biggest, strongest, fastest players you will usually win.
That’s what Alabama does. They don’t have to recruit. They just need Nick Sabin to say go get that player.
They tell the recruit. Alabama says sign here. The player see NFL $$$ and he signs.
