Regardless of how, the bottom line is that DC is so corrupt, so rotten that I don’t think it will ever be cleaned out.

Look how rotten Chicago is. Still suffering from the days of A Capone.

DC is much worse, so much more money involved, so many more people involved that it will not be cleaned out EVER.

Now the new proposal for the income tax laws are intended to make the states position financially weaker.

Every effort should be made to make the states stronger and the federal government weaker.

I have always thought of myself as an optimist. In the case of the federal government, I am not.

The idea I like most is term limits.
House 4 2 year terms. Senate 2 6 year terms.
Supreme court 1 12 year term.
I think this would put an end the entitled state.
Also a 5 year restriction to be a from a lobby.

I quite agree. The single best place to start would be repeal of the 17th Amendment, which the states can do under Article V.
