The idea I like most is term limits.
House 4 2 year terms. Senate 2 6 year terms.
Supreme court 1 12 year term.
I think this would put an end the entitled state.
Also a 5 year restriction to be a from a lobby.
Elections are currently staggered so that one-third of senators are up for reelection or election every two years. So big money elects approximately 33 senators each cycle. It's easy for them to concentrate their monetary support. Imagine them having to get involved in all state house and senate elections in order to get their guy into office.
Term limits does nothing to get at the real problem, which is the entrenched federal bureacracy, or deep state if you prefer.
Denny Hastert, for example, did not get corrupted by DC. He was already corrupt from his days as a HS wrestling coach. If had been pristine, he never would have been selected.
