Are key Republican leaders in D.C. from the Senate, House and Supreme Court being blackmailed? Tell me you haven’t thought the exact same thing? Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in DC. Rotten like a dead fish left at the front door of a Congressmen’s office by the Obama Crime Family. Rotten like a photo of a Supreme Court Justice with his robe down at his ankles.

The idea I like most is term limits.
House 4 2 year terms. Senate 2 6 year terms.
Supreme court 1 12 year term.
I think this would put an end the entitled state.
Also a 5 year restriction to be a from a lobby.
RINOs in the Senate need to be pressed as to how they can continue to support a Senate Majority Leader under such a cloud of sordid accusations. The seriousness of the charge is overwhelming. They must be made to account for their cosiness to him.

The truth is much worse than that. The truth is that the Republicans and the Democrats agree on most major issues, and both speak soothing lies to their base voters to keep getting re-elected.
The ruling coalition is united around several things that the people are against. They are skilled at setting up phony issues (or issues that don’t concern the Federal government) to break up the formation of any possible other coalition.
Republicans and Democrats agree that the purpose of the State is redistribution. How much, and to whom, and under what circumstances, there are disagreements. But no elected officials of either Party believe that it is wrong to take from you and give to another of their own choosing, for reasons that make sense to them.
Republicans and Democrats agree that you have “rights” - lots of them. They also agree that any question ABOUT your “rights”, or whether or not something IS a “right”, should not be decided by a political process because that is “divisive”. So, they both agree that the voice of “the People” as contemplated in Articles IX and X can only be voiced by nine unelected life tenure judges, and that five of them, at any time or for any reason, can give new “rights” and take away old ones, particularly if those old ones arise out of majority voting.
Republicans and Democrats all believe in “diversity”. They, ignoring completely the results of all social science research on this subject, and contrary to millennia of human experience and wisdom, believe that the more “diverse” our country, its institutions, and any private entities within her become, the more cohesive and productive we will become.
Republicans and Democrats almost all believe in “free trade” and “immigration”. These things are good for various constituencies of both parties while they wreck the economy and the nation.
In your construct the correct answer is “both”.

I would spend more time investigating how he as worth 22.5 million, and if he reports that it is probably much more since politicians seem to have a tendency to understate their wealth, when he has never held a job other than one with the government.

If the GOPe gets to decide who will be the next senator from AL, you can just give up on voting ever again.
You will have given them the power and the right to select your representation for you.
So this election may be more important than any of the past just on that one account.

Then of a court of law finds him guilty, replace him. But allowing the GOPe to decide for you is cutting your own throat.
Elections are currently staggered so that one-third of senators are up for reelection or election every two years. So big money elects approximately 33 senators each cycle. It's easy for them to concentrate their monetary support. Imagine them having to get involved in all state house and senate elections in order to get their guy into office.

Back when convicted sex pervert Denny Hastert (R) was Speaker of the House he appointed Shimkus (R) to collect all the sex scandals and other vulnerabilities on everyone in the House, Congress critters, staff, everyone and use it to blackmail others and not allow any of it to come to light except to benefit Hastert and the corrupt establishment.
Shimkus hired on staff Davis. Davis was rewarded with his on Congressional seat in Central IL. Who controls the House scandal file these days?

The big tell for me that the GOPe was behind this was how fast the response from the politicians was and who they were.
If this had been the democRATS, they would have broken their legs stumbling all over each other getting to the microphones to attack Moore, just like they do after a mass shooting when they rush to call for more gun control. But that didn't happen. They were silent.
But almost before the WashingtonCommiePost published their story, the key RINO GOP establishment elites were at the microphones demanding Moore step aside immediately. The wording in their statements were almost identical. Very transparent to even the cause observer.
This was an amateurish, feeble attempt by McTurtle and his minions in DC to overrule the voters of Alabama. Sound familiar? Precisely what Hillary's minions were trying to do to overturn the vote of the "deplorables" for electing Trump.
Put Judge Moore into the Attorney General's slot and he would be indicting all these scumbags in the Swamp. Nothing to lose. They hate him anyway.
Would be a brilliant move by Trump. Only one small problem....getting him approved by the Senate.
Trump could appoint him the interim AG and just don't get around to getting a permanent DOJ head.
I quite agree. The single best place to start would be repeal of the 17th Amendment, which the states can do under Article V.
Term limits does nothing to get at the real problem, which is the entrenched federal bureacracy, or deep state if you prefer.
Denny Hastert, for example, did not get corrupted by DC. He was already corrupt from his days as a HS wrestling coach. If had been pristine, he never would have been selected.
