It’s pretty hard to mistake a Morel. Very unique looking. Morel stems are hollow. The only other shroom that looks like a Morel has a solid stem. Don’t eat those.

My wife is four years younger than me, will not eat a mushroom. I love them. She looks about 15 years younger than me.

I don’t know how you mistake Morels for other mushrooms.
All I know is that the news reports a minimum of 3 deaths each year when they hold this hunt.

I’m a mushroom adict. Coincidentally, most people think I’m in my 40’s even though I’m 64. The older I get, the more embarrassing it gets.

Can’t say my mother majored in mushroom cooking, particularly - but from the time I was in college ’til she died in her 80s, strangers would take me for her husband. I always looked at least my age - and she never did look hers.

Yeah, I knew something wasn’t quite right there. Because hippies weren’t known for going around stealing cars. Drug use and other stupidness, yes. But they typically weren’t violent or criminal, other than drug possession and things of that sort.
