9:15 AM: Chelsea Clinton and Laverne Cox on How to Persist and Repeat.
With Alex Wagner, CBS new anchor and contributing editor at The Atlantic, moderating, Women of the Year 2014 honorees Chelsea Clinton and Laverne Cox discuss how to keep pushing when the world is pushing back. The two start the talk by sharing how much love they have for each other. For example, when Chelsea was "about to pop" with her second child, Laverne asked her if she was having "a boy, girl, or trans?"
As the talk turns to remaining persistent during difficult times, Laverne opens up about how she's dealt with bullies. "When I was getting bullied [at school] I said, 'I'm here for something bigger than this bullying," she says. "One day I'm going to be rich and famous, and I'll show all of you." She knew going into acting would be "an uphill battle," but "I did it for the love, and I continue to do it for the love."
Chelsea opens up about growing up in the public political eye. "I was expected to have opinions and views about what I thought was right and what I thought was wrong," she says. At the dinner table, a young Chelsea would have mock debates with her parents. "I had strong feelings about school lunches, unsurprisingly," she jokes. But that experience helped her understand what politics should be versus what it "actually is." She thinks of those debates today, when "so much of our political discourse is not about solutions." Chelsea hopes our country can get to a place where racism and sexism aren't considered opinions. "When you're denying someone their equal humanity and dignity, that's not an opinion," she explains.

Chelsea and glamour do not go together. Another award to a Clinton for being a nothing.
Why?
What does it say when the transgendered man is the best looking woman on the stage?!
Chelsea Clinton I know, but the other person is completely unknown to me.
I know a guy who’s mother had a Glamour magazine, he started leafing through it...yada, yada, yada his mother wound up in the hospital with a hurt back.
Wouldn't it have been something if Chelsea had responded with, "My husband and I are hoping and praying that it will be a healthy boy or girl with normally formed genitalia."
Regards,
“What does it say when the transgendered man is the best looking woman on the stage?!”
LOL.
To be fair, though, Chelsea is no competition....
And who will get to decide what constitutes racism or sexism?
As Stalin famously pointed out, "It's not the people who vote that count, it's the people who count the votes."
Regards,
I... can't... look... away...
Glamour is owned by Condé Nast Inc, iwned by Advance Publications, the same bunch that owns GQ, which is honoring Kaepernick.
See a pattern?
If the person is Melania Trump I do not give crap.
Actress who is a transgender, best known from Orange Is the New Black.
Isn’t it interesting that 2 rags owned by Condé Nast are both honoring unpopular, money-grubbing ‘Rats simultaneously.
And that this coincides with Conde' Nast shutting down Teen Vogue and reducing the number of paper issues of GQ and laying off staff. Could there be a connection?!
LOL! Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.
That is a TRANNY??? LOL!! He/She IS the best looking one up there!!
Conde NASTY.
