How fast? Try an elapsed time of 9.65 seconds at 140 mph. Zero to 60 mph happens in a mere 2.3 seconds. The Demon is also the first production car to achieve a front-wheel lift. Its 840-hp of awesomeness.

My Maserati does 185
I lost my License
Now I don’t drive...
I had a 2014 Corvette Stingray.
0-60 in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 185.
When the Z06 Version came out, my Corvette was obsolete. LOL
If you want SPEED and handling, you can’t beat the new 2018 Corvette with 755 hp.
It will easily top 200mph, and do so in comfort.
A far superior car to any Dodge ever made.
The company has lost something like 4 billion over the years. It lost over 600 million just last quarter.
The “old joke” goes, two business partners are chatting and one says, “We’re losing money on every sale”, so the other one responds, “Yea, but we’ll make it up on volume!”.
And Mr Musk has the taxpayer to keep the rolling monster going, as he dances atop the beast.
The 2018 Mustang GT has 460 HP and 420 TQ from a 5.0 Overhead Cam Engine. Very impressive numbers.
With the new 10 Speed Automatic, it is faster 0-60 than my 2014 Corvette Stingray was and is probably as fast 0-60 with the Standard 6 Speed Stick.
I may have to get one to celebrate my 65th Birthday next year. My Wife wants the 2015 Dodge Challenger I have now anyway. LOL
Poor Chrysler. Not since the Iacocca days have they been successful.
IMO they are doing very well.
And in fact, keeping Fiat alive.
Sergio needs a vast amount of cash to keep Fiat above water.
He may kill them both in the effort, Ferrari too?
Since there are a number of automotive brands under its umbrella, they were going to call the company "Fiat Automotive Group", but decided they preferred the acronym "FCA" instead.
Not sure what caused the fire. I believe it was the transporter not the cars at fault!
Who’s bright idea was it to take the worst cars of Italy and merge them with the worst cars of America and think it would succeed?
lol
And why didn’t the brainiacs at Volkswagen Automotive Group (do the acronym yourself) think of the consequence?
The 3.5 ecoboost in my AWD MKT is incredible. 365 HP iirc and probably accelerates and handles better than the expensive German cars I’ve owned

The numbers change almost every day!

2.28 sec.
When I was in high school (the 60’s) a common topic in the racing magazines was the lower bound for quarter miles times.
Always the tires and the physical limits of available traction...
The Tesla has all four working.
You are right, however, the Dodge looks so much better to me. Also, consider:
If I wanted to run a quarter mile at the drag strip or from a stop light to stop light late at night, I would prefer the Dodge. The Dodge is a muscle car, the Corvette isn’t.
If I wanted to zip around a curvy road or around town, I would prefer a Miata. The Corvette has enough torque you don’t need to downshift.
For me, if I wanted to wash and wax a car I would prefer either the Dodge or Miata.
Had a ‘67 Fastback when I was in high school...the 2011’s reminded me of it.
Was test driving them, and nearly bought the V6. My brother reminded me of the 67...and that it was never quite what I wanted. Then told me to get the 5.0
Best car purchase ever. Still a giant pile of fun long after the payments were done. Think it was king of the road for about 6 months or so.... :)
Beyond 60MPH too much heat is created and the Tesla kinda of runs ‘out of gas’.
10.44 is a nice number...
Ive advertised my Soul. But so far no takers.
Just wait until the next election...
That market should improve.
I had a 2011 with the V-6 / automatic.
It had 300 HP and was pretty quick. Live rear Axle with limited slip.
I had a 1999 Mustang Cobra with the IRS and a 32 Valve hand built V-8. It was rated at 315 HP (after the recall). That Car was a disappointment and it made me swear off Ford for a decade. LOL
I’ll bet you still wish you had the 67. I would if I was you.
I test drove an Ecoboost MKS. Pushing the gas on that thing was dangerous.
Have you driven on an interstate lately? Nobody drives 70 mph anymore unless they want to be thrown off the road. Try 90 or 110 mph. That's what the hordes do on Florida's Turnpike, I-4, or I-75. And NO law enforcement presence.
I despise the auto dealerships in this country who have placed untoward amounts of power into the hands of law-breaking alien cretins with short tempers and even shorter attention spans who haven't the intelligence needed to drive responsibly on the streets of America. Our systems and rules are too complicated for their brains to handle.
And the banks who delight in writing auto loans for every illegal male and female with a fake SSN living in Section 8 housing and receiving welfare, just to make a lousy buck.
And the insurance companies with their no-fault scam, so I get to pay high rates to cover for the brown drivers who think auto insurance is a joke they've played on somebody else.
