The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have a historic rivalry.
But after several weeks of NFL National Anthem protests even Soldier Field in Chicago was half empty today.

I have a buddy that has held season tickets for the 49ers for 20+ years.
He paid an obscene amount to keep those seats when the 49ers moved to Levi stadium in Santa Clara.
He almost broke out in tears describing the half empty stadium this year and last.
Last week he told me the seats he paid $600 for were selling on the internet for $90.
Feel bad for him...hopefully he will quit it next year.
The seats are all sold - there is an 8 year waiting list for Bears Season Tickets - 10 years for the Luxury Boxes. Good to see a half empty Soldier Field, but the NFL still gets the money.
WE win again!
until the NFL insulting unpatriotic players and management are replaced, we won’t give NFL one red cent!
and half empty stadium is a great start!
hoping against hope..hope that it is completely empty soon!
smile smile smile
ps: Packers vs. Bears used to almost always be a FULL stadium! half empty is a BIG BIG step for the better! THANKS to all the Packers and Bears fans who stayed home!
Don’t bet on that right year waiting list staying there for long. A Freeper posting on another thread a few days ago said he’d been on the Washington Redskins waiting list for years, and he got a call from a team sales rep last week offering him a DISCOUNT if he signed up for next season.
Who the heck pays $600 for an NFL ticket — even if they can afford it?
Those are the same Freepers that want to make Donna Brazile and honorary member here.
The NFL responded by saying it was half full.
And the stupid, tone-deaf NFL will renew Goodells contract....just watch.
This Aint Good Folks!
Yeah it is. It is a good start.
And meet his insane demands of 50M salary and a LIFETIME private jet rather than firing his arse.
That was not for the tickets, it was for the seat-the right to buy the tickets associated with that seat. My last seasons tickets were another 1000.
He had 3 seats....times $600....times 8 games.
That is $14,400 per year at the current prices.
Add to that the $$$ for the seats licence.
I would feel bad but he is a retired government worker along with his wife.
He asked me to go to a game last week for free and I declined.
Thinking I will not get another invite.
All to the good!
but the big thing is it LOOKS horrible on tv and that is bad for the advertisers....and when things go bad for them, the money spent on advertising goes down and so do the profits and so do the salaries of these Neanderthals on the field..
Be funny if ticket prices become so low that the hoodrats start scooping them up and going to the games.
Won’t the corporate types in the luxury suites just love that.
If you want to hit the nfl, do it through your cable. DROP THE CABLE.
It’s a seat for the season. 8 home games so less than $100 a seat.
I paid 65 bucks a seat for a nobody seat about 5 years ago... I watched most of the game on the concession area TVs.
Being there “live” sucks IMHO. Game stops for no reason due to commercial breaks. I should not take 3 hours to play 60 minutes of football.
What? It’s $600 per GAME?
Didn’t know that...that really SUCKS!
Wikipedia: The National Football League requires twenty commercial breaks per game, with ten in each half. (Exceptions to this are overtime periods, which have none.) These breaks run either a minute, or two minutes in length.
