Veterans Dayis tomorrow in honor of the men and women who have donned the uniform defending the United States of America. Part of this great country is a bevy of nationwide restaurants. Many of those restaurants appreciate the sacrifice and generosity given by those who serve. To help thank the troops, they have great deals for all veterans and active duty members. With the help of KTLA.com, heres a quick list of just some of the deals you can get tomorrow if you are a veteran.
Kick start your day with a free coffee from Starbucks. Starbucks gets a lot of grief for its liberal leanings, but a free coffee is a fantastic way to jump start your day.
Starbucks On Veterans Day, active duty service members, reservists, veterans and military spouses are invited to enjoy a free tall brewed coffee. Additionally, through November 11, for every Veterans Day Starbucks Card or eGift purchased, Starbucks will contribute $5 to help support programs assisting service members, military spouses and veterans. If you enjoy a nice donut or dislike Starbucks coffee, head on over to Krispy Kremes or Dunkin' Donuts.
Krispy Kreme Doughnut: As a thank you for serving this country, Krispy Kreme will offer a free doughnut and small coffee to veteran or active service members, no purchase required. Dunkin Donuts On November 11, Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free doughnut at Dunkin Donuts restaurants nationwide, no purchase necessary. If you need to run any errands or pick up house hold items or something for a home improvement project you have options as well. Target, Home Depot, and Bed Bath & Beyond are all having awesome deals for military members and their spouses.
Target: All military personnel, veterans and their families can get 10 percent off through Veterans Day. Bed, Bath & Beyond: Veterans, active duty, reserves and their spouses will get 25 percent off through Nov. 12. Home Depot: All veterans are eligible for a 10 percent discount on Veterans Day. Perhaps you want to get a head start on Christmas shopping or just want to buy a gift for a kid who you know. Toys "R" Us is giving 15% off all purchases to active military customers, reservists, retirees and dependents as part of their Military Appreciation Week.
ToysRUs: Available through Saturday, November 11, active military customers, reservists, retirees and dependents can take advantage of 15% off in-store purchases at ToysRUs with a valid Military ID. Also, ToysRUs will wrap-up Military Appreciation Week with a free Veterans Appreciation Day in-store event at stores nationwide on Saturday, November 11 from 12:00 1:00 PM. Then, if you are a blessed with children of your own or have the opportunity to act as a role model to somebody elses kids, maybe think about bringing them to the most fun place in town Chuck E. Cheese. There you can enjoy a free pizza.
Chuck E. Cheese: To thank service members past and present, on Veterans Day on Nov. 11, Chuck E. Cheeses will be offering one free personal pizza to all active and retired military members at participating stores nationwide. Promo code #5500. For dinner, this list provides numerous options but it looks like the best deal is at Red Robin. All veterans can get a free burger as well as all you can eat steak fries.
Red Robin: All veterans and active duty military members a free Reds Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries for Veterans Day. While these deals can never show the appreciation truly deserved for our nations heroes, it is one way that Americas businesses help give back. Surely, there are local small business deals out there as well.
If you are not a member of the military but are out to eat and see a veteran, consider paying it forward by assisting with the bill. Or, simply say thank you for their service. Indeed to all Veterans, thank you for your sacrifice and willingness to defend America from its enemies.

How do you prove you’re a vet?
I hate how Veterans Day has turned into a second Halloween for some people. For every family that takes their Korean War vet father out for a nice lunch, there are a dozen dependas pushing their way through a store after store demanding free bees all day like they are trick or treating.
Show a copy of your DD-214
Don’t know about other states, but Delaware has a photo ID card for veterans that you can get at DMV.
Or your retired ID card if you have one.
I love that some places offer free meals to veterans.
I don’t love the long lines. So I probably won’t participate.
If you’re a vet and you have means to take care of yourself: a job, a place to live, all your limbs—go help someone who needs a freebie more than you.
Home Depot, Lowe’s and Auto Zone have 10% veteran discount everyday. There are others but these are the ones I use most often.
I live in Spain, no specials here. I just posted it for the benefit of those who can take advantage of it.
I lived in Rota for three years and loved it. That was in the 1980s, I imagine a lot has changed since then.
Applebee’s will even accept an old photo of yourself in uniform.
Are Smith & Wesson, Ruger, or Sig running any deals for vets?
Are you a lady vet? Me too.
If you search my posts for a thread called Hello from Spain you can read about my experiences here.
Pennsylvania has a Veteran mark on your drivers license.
Hubby has never taken advantage of any Veterans Day freebies or even discounts anywhere. He just doesn’t do it. Says he doesn’t need it. lol We were in a restaurant one day and he had on a tshirt that said he was a veteran Green Beret or some such and the waiter asked if he was a vet and gave us 15% off.
He will take advantage of the senior Tuesday 10% off though. Probably because that’s obvious and he doesn’t have to pull out paperwork.
Oh, I always ask about military discounts. The worst anyone can say is no.
