The jury in the first Twin Peaks trial of Dallas Bandido Jake Carrizal was leaning toward a not guilty decision on all three charges before the judge declared a mistrial on Friday.
A member of the jury, who spoke to Channel 6 on the condition of anonymity, would not provide the exact split on any of the three charges. But, the juror said the final split on all three charges was in favor of a not guilty decision.
The juror said during the course of nearly 16 hours of deliberations, there were points where the jurors were leaning toward Carrizal being guilty on certain charges. But, by the end, the majority thought he was not guilty on all three -- although they never reached a consensus.
On Thursday night, one of the jurors admitted -- in a note to the judge -- that he had a personal experience with the Cossacks. That juror always leaned toward a not guilty verdict on all three counts, according to the other juror who spoke to Channel 6.

Leaning toward not guilty?
TG may appear here and post ...the horror...the horror.
All the way through the trial and into deliberations before a juror comes forward with a conflict? Not noted during jury selection? No alternate jurors? Sounds like a fix to me .... see how the jury is leaning and if it looks bad for the prosecution then mistrial it. Keep doing it until they plea bargain.
This is a complete fiasco which I consistently predicted. In Texas , if you get in a gun fight and you live to talk about it it is self defense . Waco will literally bankrupt itself on this madness plus many of the dead were shot by law enforcement with AR15s where none of the accused had AR15s not one bystander was hurt. This is funny to watch, Prosecution will now dismiss a hundred cases and all should be fired by the voters who are looking at a major tax increase.
Now what do we do?
Shoot the jurors!
I don't believe it was the juror that came forward. I think he mouthed off about his associations to the other jurors and they complained about him. They could not remove him and replace him with an alternate.

A juror merely knowing the defendant does not constitute a disability.12 For that matter, neither does a juror’s bias or prejudice for or against a defendant.13 Either of these things can ultimately make the juror disabled, but what is critical is not the existence of knowledge of a defendant or prejudice for or against a defendant, but rather the effect these things have on the juror—whether they inhibit him from fully and fairly performing the functions of a juror.
That ain’t good for Ranya
It was noted on the jury questionnaire
No alternate jurors?
There were two. No juror was disqualified. Are you sad the defendant wasn't railroaded?
Reyna will likely get nifonged when all is said and done.
This thing is a first class cluster **** on the art of Renya
art=part
You can bet that TittyGator is hiding under the sheets about now LOL
Nah.
She is hard at work on the bylawsfor the upcoming formation of the “Justice For Reyna” organization.

This was the lynch pin case for the prosecution that they were using to build a,general conspiracy. In that sense, it was a lot like the first of the Freddy Gray prosecutions. After they lost that, they weren’t likely to win any of the following cases. This hung jury will cause a lot of potential jurors to believe there’s a reasonable doubt about the lead defendant’s guilt. That dooms that case and all of the follow on cases. I’ve earlier posted that this is a FUBAR mess unlikely to result in any convictions. My prediction stands.
I’m literally LOL
Good analyses. Anyone could see this coming. It was way over charged and now it is a disaster for the city of Waco and We are talking $multi millions in McClennan county down the drain.
No common sense. Many careers now ended. Politicians will be under enormous pressure to dismiss all charges. I called that.
I agree with that analysis.
If the State can prove that Carrizal led a criminal conspiracy against the Cossacks, then all the Bandidos and their associates are put in jeopardy just for showing up wearing their colors.
Based on what I've seen so far, I don't think the State proved their case.
Are you sad about that? Especially since it looks like the Cossacks, including police officers wearing their colors, ambushed the bandits at a meeting of non combatants.
