TV series are including more LGBTQ characters and adding gender-nonconforming ones, but there’s a need for richer, more complex stories about them, according to the media advocacy group GLAAD.
LGBTQ depictions increased in the current season across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms, the group’s annual Where We Are on TV study released Thursday found.

The only serial TV I’ve watched in 20 years was “24”.

The reason TV is dying
I haven’t watched ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox (Broadcast Network), PBS in a decade. I watch old movies and old TV shows...when I do watch TV. I am blissfully unaware of what is the “hot” show du jour.
Cut the cable cord this year. Life is good.
When I see that I always think they forgot some letters so here goes.

The only networks that are somewhat bearable are the “Me TV” and “Antenna TV” ones, that show classic reruns.
The local Antenna TV here shows old Tonight Show with Johnny Carson episodes at 11 pm local time, and I start to see the rot set in with the raciness that was on it even back then.
They were ok with the marginalization of white hetero male fathers
Not to mention XY-chromosome “women”.
People who (wrongly) assume that television is a reflection of real life now believe that half of the White men in this country are married to Black women, and the other half to Black men.
Yeah, this gay/lez/tranny crap is becoming like a cancer epidemic... sorta like the associated posts on FR about this deviant lifestyle.

I always thought the acronyms were ridiculous, but the ten-letter LGBTQQIAAP (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, allies and pansexual) was really the low point.
