A press conference is scheduled shortly. Does not look good.
I really liked Halladay, even when he was a Philly.
So sorry.
RIP.
BTW. Who is Roy Halladay? Never heard of him.
Roy Halliday is my son’s baseball coach. I can’t even at the moment.
Pasco county sheriff just confirmed it was Roy Halladay and he is deceased.
I can’t imagine what his family is going through. They are lovely people.
Prayers.

Halladay was nearly perfect in that game, gave up only one run. But Carpenter was better, with perhaps his best post-season start ever.
Halladay was a great competitor, and a close friend in the off-season to Carpenter. Their on-field rivalry, and off-field friendship was the epitome of sportsmanship.
Prayers for the Halladay family.
RIP.
The last conversation I had with my father, he was gushing as he rarely did about his new car. A month later, he died in that new car. The impact caved the roof inward and crushed his skull. Sometimes falling in love with a brand new toy is the last thing you’ll ever do.
RIP Roy...one of the best ever. I wonder of the Hall of Fame will waive the five year requirement like they did with Roberto Clemente?
Class guy, I hate to see this.
I remember when he pitched a no-hitter in the playoffs against my favorite team, the Reds. He threw a great game. He also pitched a perfect game too.
RIP, Roy.
The Plane he had is supposed to be very difficult to Stall.
I wonder if he lost power at a very low altitude and had no time to recover?
We saw him one year ago when he was inducted into the Florida State League MiLB Hall of Fame. He sat at the table next to us. Seemed like a very nice man. Very sad news.
