Before he killed 26 people, Devin Kelley was sentenced to confinement and discharged from the military. Last week, he ominously showed off an assault rifle on Facebook.

Devin Patrick Kelley has been identified as the gunman who killed at least 26 people at a church in Texas, a U.S. official told The Daily Beast. A week before he committed the worst massacre at a place of worship in American history, Kelley posted a photo of a semiautomatic rifle to Facebook with the caption: “She’s a bad bitch.” Kelley entered First Baptist Church at approximately 11:30 a.m., witnesses reported, and opened fire. Officials said Kelley wore a ballistic vest and dressed in all black. A law enforcement source close to the investigation said the rifle Kelley used is similar to the one pictured but could not confirm it is the same rifle.

The link mentions Kelley's affiliation with Unite Against Fascism, which has some significant connections:

---

In 2006, David Tate argued that the Socialist Workers Party was seeking to dominate the UAF.[46] The same criticism has been made of UAF's successor body Stand Up To Racism.[47]

David Toube claims that the organisations involved in the UAF avoid condemnation of antisemitism.[48] The LGBT rights activist Peter Tatchell has accused UAF of a selective approach to bigotry: "UAF commendably opposes the BNP and EDL but it is silent about Islamist fascists who promote anti-Semitism, homophobia, sexism and sectarian attacks on non-extremist Muslims. It is time the UAF campaigned against the Islamist far right as well as against the EDL and BNP far right."[33]

The journalist Andrew Gilligan has claimed that the UAF's reluctance to tackle Islamism is that several of its own members are supporters of such extremism. The UAF's vice-chairman, Azad Ali, has links to al-Qaeda and is also community affairs coordinator of the Islamic Forum of Europe, which Gilligan describes as "a Muslim supremacist group dedicated to changing 'the very infrastructure of society, its institutions, its culture, its political order and its creed from ignorance to Islam'".[33] According to Gilligan, Michael Adebolajo, one of the murderers of Lee Rigby in 2013, spoke "on the margins" of a 2009 UAF demonstration in Harrow.[33] Secretary Weyman Bennett responded by saying that Adebolajo was not an official speaker.[33]

“UAF” could also mean “unaffiliated”, though—see #38.

Desertion is looked upon favorably by some nowadays but I’m old enough to remember when (getting caught) smoking a joint could get you an Other Than Honorable DD214 - and I am not kidding.

As far as I know UAF is unaffiliated voter at least in some states in the United States.

In the U.K. there is a UAF party which does stand for Unite Against Fascism. Unless that party is taking root here then that person on YouTube is not correct.

My worthless brother-in-law (If you know him he probably owes you money) was up for a BCD, but his dad, a disabled vet, and a state congressman managed to get him discharged with a “Medical” discharge.

He has been sucking that VA government tit ever since.

FOX just reported that authorities are saying the shooter had no relationship with the church.
I don’t know if that precludes him having a relationship with a parishioner.

Maybe. But the armed masked scum need .223 sphincters in their foreheads.

Rep Henry Cuellar, who reps Sutherland Springs, is on Fox saying there would seem to be a possible connection to the church, but ‘we must leave that to the authorities’.

could be he was an out and out psycho- however- i too have a gut feeling that either his wife, or mother-in-law was part of that church, and he felt the church and wife, or mother-in-law, or all three, were conspiring against him- Sounds like he might have really hated Christians- just a gut feeling at this point

Bad conduct disharge (aka the Big Chicken Dinner) is equivalent of a felony if my memory serves me well.

There are two kinds of bad conduct discharges. One from a summery court martial and one from a general court martial. The summery court bad conduct discharge is a mister meaner and the general is a felony.

“That is a Dishonorable Discharge.”

Are you sure?

If that’s the case, than it would have been illegal for him to have purchased or to be in possession of firearms. If in fact it was a ‘Dishonorable Discharge?

I do not believe a ‘Bad Conduct’ discharge disallows weapons ownership.

The most interesting find in that video report, is that Devin Kelley listed his political party affiliation as “UAF” on his voter registration.

Apparently, UAF stands for United Against Fascism.....ergo, Antifa.
