Bryan Cranston: ‘F—k you’ to anyone who wants Trump to fail
Fox News ^ | 10/31/2017 | Staff

“Breaking Bad” actor Bryan Cranston, notably outspoken against then-candidate Donald Trump, recently changed his tone, calling out those who don’t support the current president.

“President Trump is not the person who I wanted to be in that office, and I’ve been very open about that,” Cranston said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Monday. “That being said, he is the president.

“If he fails, the country is in jeopardy. It would be egotistical for anyone to say, ‘I hope he fails,’” Cranston said. “To that person I would say, f—k you. Why would you want that? So you can be right?”

The actor, currently promoting the Vietnam War-era movie “Last Flag Flying,” said he doesn’t want that. “I don’t want him to fail,” Cranston argued. “I want him to succeed. I do. I honestly do.”

The actor’s comments mark an abrupt change from previous remarks he made about the president before he was elected. In October 2016, Cranston said he would move to Canada if Trump were elected to office.

However, in the interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cranston said regardless of political affiliations, he’ll support anyone with “a good idea.”

“If you’ve got a good idea that helps the country, oh man, I’m gonna support you,” Cranston said. “I don’t care if you’re a Republican and I’m a Democrat or whatever, I don’t care.”

He added: “We’ve got to get away from this idea that our country is a political football, and someone with a different opinion is the enemy. Assume they love this country as much as you do, and there’s always room for improvement. How can we make it better?”

You’d think he would be more articulate ...

Why? He makes a living by having other people stick words in his mouth. :-)

I agree. He may be pandering to the movie audience - but he didn’t have to. He could have stayed silent or let his past statements speak for themselves.

I’m going to give him a pass - a little, not quite sure, pass, but a pass nonetheless.

Don’t know whether to believe him or not. A lot of liberal actors are suffering in their ratings!!!

Ah-Hah! A movie coming out.
That explains everything.
If the movie flops, he’ll go back to Trump bashing.

Profanity is just a fun bad habit. I don’t drink or smoke so what else I got? ;)

Walter White was interesting.

Bryan Cranston? Not so much.

In private conversations, or with like minded groups, I also use profanity. F**k, yes! I’m talking about in front of a camera and behind a mike for the general public. Someplace where Billie and Bobby and Grandma may be listening.

In other words he is exhibiting the sort of maturity
most people had, four or five decades ago.

You can’t win ‘em all. There will be other elections.
Till then, suck it up and deal.

Me too. You can dress me up and take me into polite company. I agree about Cranston. Not my favorite person though his acting is superb.

I agree that his actions wouldn’t be considered abnormal years ago. Still refreshing to see in such a hostile anti-Trump media environment.

What cheeses me off most is that the sore losers are diminishing the perceived unity and strength of our nation in the eyes of our enemies, all out of petty politics.

It’s FAR worse than that.

I have been shocked by the number of Liberals I meet who seem to sincerely believe that Trump is HITLER!

You know....20 million dead Jews HITLER.

They make that claim seriously and with a straight face.
Horrifying!

I won’t feel so bad now about binge-watching Breaking Bad.
He’s still a lefty but it’s a good point.
A lot of us had severe trepidations back in 2008 about a grinning gargoyle who admitted he was a foreigner and seemed to be brimming with happy crappy, like lowering the ocean levels, etc.
But since (as the poly scientists believe) the health of the nation may be reflected in the health of the presidency, a lot of us wanted him to do well if just for the sake of the country, as Cranston states.

Then Obama just got worse and worse, starting from bad, and his troglodyte supporters gave him four more years of mischief. President Trump has spent a lot of his first months just untangling the `birds-nests’ left to him by that dirty ****bird.

"Gee, thanks. Some of us are actually bright enough to be FReepers, believe it or not."

Some, perhaps. When I returned to school to get my MBA, I noted how the barely warm to the touch kids, the ones that the light in their eyes was the sun shining through the backs of their heads, were being steered into teaching degrees.

My ex-SIL spent 15 years getting his ED degree. He is, I suppose, still coaching children's sports, (his life's ambition.), and, literally, did not know the difference between Karl, and Groucho, Marx.

Spectacularly stupid, and fiercely proud of his ignorance. A devout, smug democrat, (He wrote in Hillery in 2008.), and blandly convinced of his own "superior" intellect.

(He once filled a rental diesel truck with gasoline, since the nozzle fitted...) The truck loudly died, and they spent the rest of the day switching loads when U-Haul or Penske finally delivered another truck.

I like to think he hung himself when Trump won, but the world is not that lucky...

If he is sincere, I’ll be the first to say thank you for giving Trump some credit. However, with his new movie...
