They must have surveyed Mrs. POF. I’m way down on the list, I think.
[a Northeastern University study showed that only a baby human could compete with mans best friend]
Tell that to the 5 million babies who have been aborted in America.
“Humans” don’t.
Just creepy weirdos.
I don’t find that surprising at all. Down-and-out humans have the capability of helping themselves and are (usually) somewhat responsible for getting themselves in whatever situation they’re in. Dogs aren’t.
Aside from my family and those I consider close friends, this pretty much applies to me. I love my dog more than most people.
It’s been said, “If you lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car and come back three hours later, one of them will be happy to see you.”
A friend spent $1200 on cataract surgery for her 12 year old dog and I was thinking how many kids you could feed or clothe for that much money.
Dogs are property.
They are essentially loyal and willing slaves.
It does not surprise me that people would love loyal and willing slaves more than competent competitors.
I think this nay be because, even though we live in a post modern world where so many deny Judeo-Christian values and standards of right and wrong, most people still know deep down that there really is a standard of right and wrong. Dogs and cats, babies and small children are innocent. Thus more likable. The rest of us are not.
If people want to compete with dogs, they need to lick more faces. Like Andy Dick...
Our lack or morality has taught society in general that there’s no reason to be a “better” person. No need to change our bad habits, become compassionate, cooperate, etc. etc. That’s why so many people form relationships with dogs instead of people. “Fur babies” don’t expect us to change our bad habits around them. We can be the biggest buttheads in the world and dogs don’t really care. They have no choice but to be around us.
Guess the eggsheads that started this study never heard dog is man’s best friend
Meanwhile unborn child are most hated on planet
Christ urged us to love our neighbor. And this is hard, because everyone has a sinful nature, and we know that most of our neighbors are not all that likable. Yes, we are supposed to try. But it’s not always easy. No one ever said it would be.
Dogs and Cats are not nearly as problematic.
“A man would rather be with his dog than with a stranger.”-Augustine

I know my wife doesn’t mind violence in movies, but get’s very upset and angry if they kill a dog.
I don’t hate people, I just feel better when they’re not around.
