Please excuse if this is posted incorrectly, it's my first "vanity". Setting aside all the scary fake news and real terrorism, what scary stories - personal or in the news would y'all care to pass along around the FR campefire? I'll start with the true story of Elisa Lam in the next post.

I was going to write “excluding that one” but it would leave out some fun. We all shared that nightmare!
When I was 10, a bratty kid in our neighborhood was being crude so I took his entire bag of candy. I was foolishly proud of doling out justice on my own. 30 minutes later, I was struck with fear as my mother showed up in her car with said bratty kid. She took all of the candy (his plus all of mine, an entire pillow case full) and dumped it in his bag and read me the riot act in front of my friends. That was the last time I ever trick or treated.

we just had 2 hispanic kids trick or treat without costumes or bags. They had their hands cupped and their pockets were full. scared the bejeebers out of me.
My wife wouldn’t let me ask them if they were dressed as illegal aliens.
It’s not scary but I had a dream where I woke up to the phone ringing and my uncle telling me that my grandmother had died. When I got out of bed my mother told me that my uncle had called about an hour before to tell her that my grandmother had died.

I was at a rural intersection when a van full militant muslims pulled beside me, then blew thru the light and was tee-boned by a big rig. Killed all 6 of them.
Right before my eyes. This had such an emotional impact on me that I have since decided to take up truck driving.
