Has anyone noticed something a bit odd about the actresses accusing Harvey Weinstein?
The trash talk TV floodgates have burst wide open with women who now accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment. But has anyone noticed something very odd about this group. With a few rare (and aging… or aged… or very aged) A-listers, the accusers are all women who never succeeded in Hollywierd.
We are hearing nothing from the major movie actresses, and I think the reason is obvious. These women, now household names, did what aspiring actresses (and actors) have done for 90 years. When they were fighting for roles early in their careers, and all the others up for the roles were willing to go down for anyone in the casting system, they did the Horizontal Mambo too.
And of course, once they were into the system, they couldn’t suddenly become reconstituted virgins and stop “laying down on the job.”
The reason they are not complaining now? They are still active and don’t want to be thought of as simply very high paid, very beautiful, and somewhat talented women (and men) who sold their bodies for dollars and fame.
Or if they are War Criminal Jane Fonda, who claims she just learned about Weinstein a year ago, they also don’t want the world to know these “Women’s Rights Champions” were willing to stay silent, not tell the world what they did to get their movie roles, and sacrificed the next generations of their sisterhood for their own fame and fortune,
They’re all hookers. Only the price is different.

Oh now they're innocent? What happened to your original claim they were all disgusting hookers? Sorry but it's too late for you to make amends for defending the true monsters like Weinstein as you were doing. Your best hope is to get the thread pulled now. Good luck.
If you want to watch movies, you have to divorce yourself from the personal life of the actor on screen. I understand that people who have never been in the industry don’t get that but it’s the truth.

Well I pretty much stopped watching any new movies or TV shows coming out from Hollywood, because I got tired of all of their faux moralizing.

Stop using the word “system.” It doesn’t exist. Predators are all over the place not just the performing arts.
And now many of Hollywood’s Hot 100 have remained silent?
And why did it take those who are now speaking out so long to do so? Everyday, month and year they remained silent, more young men and women fell into the trap.

If this happened to your daughter would you counsel her that this is just the way it is?
I really don’t care who the women are. The stories of the behavior is criminal. What does surprise me is that no one’s significant other did not break his elbows.

I said that evidently some are. Obviously some are not. You and I disagree only on the number that are: you say that most are not, and I say that I have no idea how many are and are not; that's not even a disagreement, but merely an acknowledgement that you know more than I do. I hope you're right, that most are not, and I'll take your word for it. I don't know.
All I am saying is that actresses are not whores. People here seem to think they are synonyms.
They, like every young man and woman, were innocent when it started. When they chose to continue it, they became no better than hookers, hookers who thought they had the right to lecture all of us on their far-left politics.
When everyone else gets it, and you do not, I makes me wonder about you......
In the late 1800’s actors were on the same level as prostitutes...they still are, they just don’t walk the streets.
They fact they don’t call out the Clintons’ for their abuse renders their arguments moot.
This does not excuse abhorrent behavior by pigs like Weinstein, but most of these women made Faustian bargains with their hasrassers. They chose to put up with the harassment and stay silent because they lusted for fame and fortune—which they enjoyed plenty of.
When I was younger I was sexually harassed at work and it never crossed my mind to put up with it. The harassment came from some of my clients of my company. When it happened I immediately reported it to my managers. I was afraid my career might be affected adversely, but I reported the harassment nonetheless.
Many of these women chose to make their Faustian bargains because they wanted to be rich celebrities. That’s what they chose.
