Has anyone noticed something a bit odd about the actresses accusing Harvey Weinstein?
The trash talk TV floodgates have burst wide open with women who now accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment. But has anyone noticed something very odd about this group. With a few rare (and aging… or aged… or very aged) A-listers, the accusers are all women who never succeeded in Hollywierd.
We are hearing nothing from the major movie actresses, and I think the reason is obvious. These women, now household names, did what aspiring actresses (and actors) have done for 90 years. When they were fighting for roles early in their careers, and all the others up for the roles were willing to go down for anyone in the casting system, they did the Horizontal Mambo too.
And of course, once they were into the system, they couldn’t suddenly become reconstituted virgins and stop “laying down on the job.”
The reason they are not complaining now? They are still active and don’t want to be thought of as simply very high paid, very beautiful, and somewhat talented women (and men) who sold their bodies for dollars and fame.
Or if they are War Criminal Jane Fonda, who claims she just learned about Weinstein a year ago, they also don’t want the world to know these “Women’s Rights Champions” were willing to stay silent, not tell the world what they did to get their movie roles, and sacrificed the next generations of their sisterhood for their own fame and fortune,
They’re all hookers. Only the price is different.
Perhaps if these women had not spent over a year defending the wife of a rapist and lying about our President the tone would be different.
I suspect if we were discussing Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones or any number of other women the tone would be different.

Sharon Stone is on record saying she didn’t have to hit the couch anymore after achieving success.
But, by your own admission, you are a lying, cheating, weasel so why should I believe anything you say?
I have been in show business since the 70s so I have it all over you in knowledge of the performing arts.
I think you posted that vanity as an excuse to call actresses “whores.” You haven’t responded to one person who pointed out the A list actors who called out Weinstein.
If Hollywood never produced another movie or TV Show again, that would be fine by me, we’ve already got all the movies and TV shows we need.
The same way that a reasonable person can hate both Nazis and Commies, a person can say that Weinstein and many of the women he victimized are scumbags......certainly not all, but many of us will reserve sympathy for those who haven’t spent their lives on a false crusade where Conservatives are the devil and islam/theLeft get a pass.

If you listen to Ashley Judd, she is the most harassed, molested, assaulted, sodomized and raped woman that ever lived.
In her seriously mentally ill mind, everything is rape : the US has a rape culture, coal mining is rape, fracking is rape, drilling for oil is rape, Republicans are rapists. Everything is rape rape rape.
I hate what happened to these young women, (and men), but if some of the current and past A-listers had spoken up 20-30-40 years ago, it would have stopped long ago, and that is an uncontrovertable fact.
Years ago the liberal icon David Letterman admitted, on-air, that he has abused a young female staffer so she could keep her job, and everyone thought it was so “cute” that he did so.
On Carson one night, supermodel Lauren Hutton was asked why she had risen to fame so quickly. Her answer, not edited out was, “I arrived in New York on Thursday, did a lot of guys at parties on Friday and Saturday, and was working on Monday!” The audience howled with laughter.
Why didn’t it stop then?
No one wants a site hard ridden by censorship, but for sometime now a goodly number of forum members lack even a loose adherence to JR's stated standards.

Actors and musicians are court jesters, nothing more.
People started losing sympathy for them when they forgot their only purpose in life is to entertain.

I agree and second the notion. I watch very little current TV or current movies. ON the other hand, watch quite a bit of old movies and TV shows. I could go to my grave and be happy with the decades of old reruns out there, and be happy if I never saw a new TV show or movie again.

What I did point out was that for everyone who has spoken out, there are dozens who did the deed, and stayed silent.
Example, Lou Pearlman, the creator of all the Orlando-based Boy Bands, required that each of the band members “service” him.
A few have very quietly spoken out, but the rest?
By the way, with your experience in the Performing Arts, did you not see what was going on, or, in order to preserve your own career, did you remain silent and allow the next generation of kids to be victimized?
