TRUMP'S LATEST WEIRD MEAL: RICE AND TWO SLICES OF CHERRY PIE DURING GOP LUNCH
Newsweek ^ | October 24, 2017 | Julianne Glum

Add another page to Donald Trump's weird recipe book—the president apparently ate rice and cherry pie for lunch on Tuesday with Senate Republicans.

NBC News reporter Leigh Ann Caldwell broke the story right after the meal, tweeting that she overheard a Secret Service agent discussing Trump's intake: "He ate rice and two pieces of cherry pie. Took a few sips of his drink," Caldwell tweeted. "'He loves rice.'"

Meatloaf was also served at the Tuesday luncheon, which came as top GOP senators were preparing to revamp the tax code. It's unclear whether the president ate any, but the American people already know meatloaf is one of his favorite foods—New Jersey Governor Chris Christie confirmed it after the duo dined together in February

WHAT! No 2 scoops of ice cream?
And that rice; was it eaten with butter melting over the top? or along side his meat loaf, like mashed potatoes? More important: was it white, brown, or wild rice? A true, investigative reporter would know the answers to these important questions.

If it was white rice that proves that he is a racist...

Well, at least he hasn’t ordered dog.

He'll be doing that on his trip to China soon.

The late Mitch Hedberg had a great line: “Rice is the perfect food for those times when you’re hungry, and you feel like eating 2,000 of something.”

I often have that for lunch but without the cherry pie as I am watching my weight.

I’ve always thought that these eating disorders are really about trying to exercise some sense of control over one’s life, in situations where people feel that they have none.

Sounds normal to me!!! If offered the same lunch, I too would have eaten the rice and left the meatloaf -— and had TWO pieces of cherry pie if I could get away with it!!!

He doesn’t drink or smoke. Maybe the other items looked gross to him.

He is in fine shape. Terrific guy.

I usually see it in friends who are vegetarian or who eat “organic” foods.

One acquaintance has a bizarre obsession with knowing every last detail about where her coffee was grown, how it was transported, who roasted it, and how it was served to her.

I don’t go out to coffee with her anymore. (-:

I prefer a good blended scotch with my cherry pie. Mana from heaven.

Perhaps limiting his lunch to rice only is preparation for his upcoming trip to Asia.
Seeing this report will alert them that it is normal for Trump to bypass the mystery meat and eat the rice.

Orthorexia is becoming a major problem. I have been reading about just how messed up a significant portion of our population is getting with obsession over avoiding or only eating certain foods, that eventually gets more and more limited and restrictive.

It can cripple some people from travelling, or even eating away from home. I see a lot of orthorexic comments on FR even.

I love rice. White rice. Me and Trump are almost the same age and both of us are like white on rice. However, I prefer blueberry pie. With chocolate ice cream.

#49: "I usually see it in friends who are vegetarian or who eat “organic” foods."

I enjoy pointing out to these people that coal, gasoline, and yes, even Styrofoam coffee cups are all organic.

Unusual voice inflections and delivery - but I always found him one of the best of his generation.

I liked the corn on the cob bit.
